I recommend gluing the suction cups in place where needed for long-term installation. I don't think i'll ever be able to trust a digital thermometer again. "It works great."He was moving slow in the winter and we realized he needed a heater! 6 in a pack, extra batteries, easy set up, great price. The lid is textured aluminum, and the suction cups don't stick to that. Since adding one of these, it has been much easier to monitor the temp of my tanks. The temperature fluctuated a lot with it. I am extremely pleased with this product. My poor fish was in 86 degrees water for a month.

"And he is a betta."Then is started to give a low reading, and it is not reading the correct temperature. I removed the batteries of the units I wasn't using right away. I used these to raise chicks, and in my parrot cages. I used these on a number of my aquariums that have discus fish in them. 49 thermometer that is 100% accurate. One extra battery came with each unit. You dont HAVE to stick the display onto your tank.

"It's accurate I tell you."I use a small flashlight if I don't want to brighten the area. "2-degrees."I bought these for my dwc reservoirs. The units each had a battery in place and situated for immediate use. It is my opinion that everyone should have these that are in the Aquarium Hobby. SIX Digital Thermometers with SIX batteries INCLUDED working so well. One being a very expensive digital. Still a recommendation for me due to price and accuracy. Now I'm getting back in on a much smaller scale with 3 gallon Acrylic Nano tanks.

"2-degrees."The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because my betta fish didn't like it. I used these to raise chicks, and in my parrot cages. Only thing I don't love is how long the cord is. I got the second one as a bonus that I'm now using in my old tank. Simple fix, you adjust the thermometer within the suction cup and VIOLA! I read some of the 1 star reviews and most of them are not about the product. The plastic from the suction cup quickly turned from a clear to a milky white.

So much so that I purchased a second set of 6. 6F all six took about three minutes to read between 88. This company is taking the long term view of how to do business right. 2 deg, if it was 32, it would be a SOLID block of ice.

"These are great!"Set all six probes up in a terrarium with a constant temp of 88. All were Close enough for a fish tank and other uses. Good cheap accurate aquarium thermometer. Put them all in the same tank and they read very close to each other. It is always where yo last put it and it is very easy to see and read. In this scenario it would probably get knocked loose a lot. It will make you wonder why nobody thought of it before.

All are pretty accurate within one degree as claimed. At least in the first 3 months of use.
