"Buy another product."There was no problem mounting the unit on the lip of the bowl. You can make it work with these, but you need to be careful. I have the Stage 2 round pellet feed. I have been feeding twice a day with one spin per time. I mix Omega One Color and Tetra Color flake foods in a ziplock bag. And yes, you can use flake food like I do, just fine. Another big tip for flake food users.

"Hope this review helped."There were a few cheaper feeders that I considered. It's been using for twice a day for 5 weeks, still no need for charging the battery. Programming feeding times is easy using the instructions provided. It's been two weeks and Betta Boy has figured out who feeds him now. This would have been a great investment when I started my aquarium 30 years ago. Must be at least 1 or it will not feed at all. For the gouramis I have flake food, but for the corys I have sinking pellets.

Set the hour then minute, then number of rotations at that time. Another nice feature is the feeder will rotate on its screw attachment base. It has a button you can press to do a manual feeding. It also allow multiple feeding option and times. I have a 75 gallon tank, and removed a 1.

"Set up a breeze."This would have been a great investment when I started my aquarium 30 years ago. I have this on a 60 gallon aquarium and so far it's working great! It has a button you can press to do a manual feeding. Otherwise, food collects itself on the rear side of aquarium. Otherwise you will no doubt eventually get water in there. So you don't have to constantly be adding food. 3-second Long Press on rightmost button turns feeder on and off.
