"I can't hear them at all."It could easily run a small fish room. After nearly 5 months of use, it stop pumping air. However Once you plug it to the Oxy tubes it is Silent! I will just keep the old one for parts should I need it. It just sounds like a large freezer. I have the pump hooked up to a large sponge. I was currently using 2 Whispers and they were anything but whispering.

"But it was still working!"And there are fixes around all of it. It really is pretty quiet- once you unclog the air pathway. Hardly noticeable that it is running for an aquarium air pump. The motor was working but air was not moving. I put a nice little fan next to mine and it now runs much cooler! The first time I ordered this product, it did not work properly. After 3 weeks, I received a new one in the mail.

"Its pretty quiet."The new unit works fine as a secondary air pump in a 75 gallon fresh water aquarium. 5 Watts, Fusion 700 rated at 6 watts,Whisper 300 rated at 7. Considering the warranty and performance, I upgraded my rating by 2 stars. Apparently the dome shape plays a significant role in noise reduction. You MUST use a fan with this pump or it will def burn out or lose pressure. This thing has plenty of power for my needs. Once, the water in this tank backflowed into the unit.

"It runs hot though."I didn't think I’d be impressed by an air pump but I’m pleasantly surprised. I was going to buy 3 small air pumps to power 9 sponge filters when I saw this pump. My first one may have been a lemon. I found calcium deposits were clogging the bottom where the air was supposed to exit. I know my title sounds overly dramatic, but I'm not kidding. Considering the warranty and performance, I upgraded my rating by 2 stars. Works well in my 75 gal tank running a 36 inch bubble stick!

"Good air flow."Adjustable air flow settings which is new to me on a air pump but very convenient. And one to the additional accessories for extra oxygen output only. I have one running to sponge filters in a tank and it pushing a nice air flow. I knew I had to try something else. It makes the perfect size bubbles and the fish love it. I'd say this pump would be loud if it were used in the same room as you. I'm not going to knock the product for my own paranoia though.

"Very powerful."And check the filter often, at least every two- 3 weeks. I did notice that it tends to run very loudly and hot. After nearly 5 months of use, it stop pumping air. The air being pumped out can be quite warm as well. This pump cost a bit more than the small quite ones but is way more powerful. These work better than any of the others I have tried in my price point. Yes it obviously makes some noise-but not at all as much as I was anticipating.

"Great product."Sometimes stopping all together if the water is full. I found calcium deposits were clogging the bottom where the air was supposed to exit. I had the Whisper models and they were way too high in emissions. Kudo to them for backing up their product. I keep the pump and air valves in the box to lessen the noise. For now, I'd say I would gladly buy another. Just bought and started using it a few days ago.

The rubber feet dampen most anything that the sealed pump doesn't cover. It just sounds like a large freezer. Pump is basically silent when both airlines are attached. "I hope this helps anyone."I like these, great deal for the price. Danner, Fusion, Eheim are adjustable. I currently have it in a closet to grow aquatic plants and brine shrimp. I was currently using 2 Whispers and they were anything but whispering. I had the Whisper models and they were way too high in emissions. So I run two of these with gang valves on my 55 gallon tall living room tank. For a solid working, quiet pump, this is about as good as it gets.
