The rubber bottom feet really help to keep the unit quite and in one place. Sometimes stopping all together if the water is full. Before the fan, it was to hot to even hold! A simple piece of foam under the unit solved that. I'd say this pump would be loud if it were used in the same room as you. Colbert, the reviewer above, for explaining how to do this. I put a wire tie Tightly over the tube and barbs and it's perfect. I set up 2 more and still all the control valve are not open 100%. But this one has no noticeable sounds. If it craps out anytime soon, I'll update the review.

"This pump is VERY quiet!"

I got the bigger size because I used it in my 450 gallon tank and it's perfect. I found calcium deposits were clogging the bottom where the air was supposed to exit. This pump cost a bit more than the small quite ones but is way more powerful. The current from the bubble wand is softer but its still a current. I was wrong it has enough power to run all 9 with air to spare. I was going to buy 3 small air pumps to power 9 sponge filters when I saw this pump. My 20H tank is in my office, 3 feet away from my desk.

I just cleaned my 20 tank for the first time in, well too long. Great Product, BUT, its noisy and vibrates like mad on its rubber feet. The pump works well when there is no defects. Kudo to them for backing up their product. Pump is basically silent when both airlines are attached. I set up 2 more and still all the control valve are not open 100%. Its been on 24 hours a day for about 5 days.

Seems very well built, does as advertised. But this one has no noticeable sounds. I guarantee the fan will help it's shelf life. But this one has no noticeable sounds. The added tubing and manifold make this an even better value. You MUST use a fan with this pump or it will def burn out or lose pressure. I was wrong it has enough power to run all 9 with air to spare.

Kudo to them for backing up their product. However Once you plug it to the Oxy tubes it is Silent! I'm sure it would run a much larger bubble stick also. I have one running to sponge filters in a tank and it pushing a nice air flow. This is actually the second one I have purchased. I have to unplug it every time I want to shut it off.
