It is way overkill for that small tank but I get the job done very quick. The rake came in handy to smooth the gravel after the gravel cleaning. I have used the scrapper and it removed the algae from my tank's glass very easily. Don't bother with the other brands. The net of this set is a little small for my uses. But since no directions come, I thought I might mention it. I bought this based on reviews and sure enough it took care of the algae with ease.

This is my second purchase of this scraper. I have a redsea 170 that is only about 35 gallons. My smaller aquarium has a back aside that the brush can easily clean. This scraper is a life saver for me.

It is very easy to swap the heads with very convenient locking system. The only thing i wish was different is that the net was bigger. The only thing i wish was different is that the net was bigger. It actually made cleaning the glass enjoyable. It's designed nice, very solid and it's a decent price, what's not to like about it. And when i drain water out i can use this without getting wet. I hand no issues with it scratching the glass. I bought this size algae scrubber because I have a 13. I have a fairly deep sand bed in my 90 gallon reef tank. The magnet is stronger and best of all it finally floats to the surface. I have a 55 gallon tank and this does a very good job removing algae from the glass. I would not have an aquarium without this. I used a scrubber with little result.

I know alot of people feel this is junk. Due to the tank being built in, it's very difficult to clean from the back. The first one lasted for several years. The only down side would be that the main section that holds the blade is a bit long. 5 inch wide razor blade to scrub algae off of the tank. I have a redsea 170 that is only about 35 gallons. I have used the scrapper and it removed the algae from my tank's glass very easily. Works way better than the Mag-Float I was using. Dont have to get wet, its very long, about 33 inches at maximum extension. I would have gone to the next size up to get the extra pressure on the inside glass. It literally took me 5 mins to scrape my 55 gal. It also works well at knocking off buildup from my decorations without removing them. Since I knew this I am happy with it. I have used it a lot and really like it. This works significantly better than any handheld scraper I've ever owned.
