"The tank is only 7."The female is on the larger side with her babies. This is THE BEST divider I've found! Description says if they dont go together use zip ties. There were scratches when we got this so I originally gave it one star review. Second- Do not recommend for bettas or small fish! I'm separating male and female cichlids. The gravel along with the quick trim left no gaps for me.

"Sticks on glass."For platty fry I reccomend the Petzilla Aquarium Fish Breeder box. The divider itself works very well and seems sturdy. Actually adds additional filtration I think. You just need to peel of the protective layer from both sides. Very few problems just a couple things to keep in mind when buying. I uploaded a video to demonstrate the barrier in action xD. Worth it though if you have money to blow.

"The choice is yours!"It's good for what I needed it for. Very few problems just a couple things to keep in mind when buying. Not worried about the small fish due to the size of the fry. Second- Do not recommend for bettas or small fish! Even though there are holes in the acrylic the water flow is not the same. I have to trim off about a quarter inch and then they work just fine. I did not receive suction cups but I had my own to it did what I was looking for.

"Hopefully."The holes are smaller than some other similar dividers, which is why I chose these. I know Betta fish are aggressive, so they must be separated. If you have the divider in the gravel it will not meet the top of the tank. You will have to cut them to fit any other size aquarium. I had an oddly aggressive Molly and this worked great for the time I needed to use. Only for betta fish since I own them. My betta fish even got in fights 3 times because the went through them.

I had ordered 3 others before this one. Very good divider for my 20 gal long freshwater aquarium. You can also cut it down to the size of your tank, which was not too difficult to do. I know Betta fish are aggressive, so they must be separated. And now I know they are getting enough to eat.

"Also looks well."This worked perfectly for my 55 gallon aquarium. No matter what size betta I put I know it won't go through the divider. Doing these two things really keeps this thing in place. Holes are big enough for good circulation throughout the tank. It is difficult to move the side bars to move out to close the gaps. I used this to separate my two Betta fish in a 10 gallon tank. 6-25-19- I had to make a minor adjustment to my divider.
