"Who knows."It's totally normal for natural wood to grow a white biofilm. When I stand back and look at it, it looks really great. I recieved a Fluval Mopani Driftwood. I was originally going to buy the black version, but it sold out before I could. I am very big on using natural materials when I aquascape. I received it today and am very happy with what i got. The stone bottom helps it not float but I still had to anchor.

"This really does work."I am going to boil it tomorrow and then let it sit in water until the tank comes. For the price, I received 5 useful and interesting pieces. I have a larger tank over 50 gallons to 2 worked for my purposes. I was originally going to buy the black version, but it sold out before I could. I then soaked it in a bucket overnight with hot water. EDIT, boiled the wood for 2 hours and they sank. Photos show first and second order.

"5 gallon tank."It just brings it a little closer to the 7 range. The mopane wood is two-toned, with a very light tone and a black tone. I did have to boil it which was expected. When I stand back and look at it, it looks really great. The one I received looked better than the online photo. The stone bottom helps it not float but I still had to anchor. So perfect for setting the mood in my little tank.

"No floaters."They have great color and character. You have NO IDEA what it will look like, or how big it will actually be. Will be using in my flex 15 gallon, along with some more wood! It provides a decent, natural-looking refuge for smaller fish and other creatures. I am very big on using natural materials when I aquascape. "There approx."They say to boil it, but I can't find a pot big enough to do so. Don't scrub too hard or you'll take off the color on the piece. I changed the soaking water 3 times. My shrimp liked to crawl around and eat off this. Slightly larger tanks can make something fit better. I cant wait to see what it will look like. After a little online research, I decided to buy mopane driftwood for my Fluval 2. Gave a very realistic look to my 10 gallon tank.

"I did lovelooks good."You can bend and trim to some extent to help conform it to your particular space. I recieved a Fluval Mopani Driftwood. I've now ordered 2 large and 2 medium. Water is still crystal clear and it certainly brought tremendous value to my tank. Boiled them for several hours then let dry in the full sun. Was skeptical at first but not bad! Item was replaced in a very timely manner.
