Be sure to follow the directions for de-tanning the wood. This alone will not drop it to the low numbers some fish need. I am rarely a fan of artificial aquarium decor. My son got these for his turtle and gecko aquariums. It comes in black, which gives drama to the hardscape. The branches do not bend, but the joints can be rotated to get different positions. Based on other reviews some things are certain. You can bend and trim to some extent to help conform it to your particular space. But up close it is obvious where the branches connect and makes it look fake. I got a small piece and it is fairly large. I highly recommend this driftwood and I would buy it again. I am rarely a fan of artificial aquarium decor. If you have a small tank this is a problem.

Overall, if you need a few smaller pieces of wood, this should work for you. I have a newly established tank for my Green Spotted puffers. Covered in moss for extra protection. Be sure to follow the directions for de-tanning the wood. I really love the piece and it was well worth what I paid for it. This alone will not drop it to the low numbers some fish need. My filter should take care of any water discoloration from this driftwood.

When I stand back and look at it, it looks really great. He is saving the other driftwood for a tomato frog he wants. Make sure you boil the item before adding to your set up. I was originally going to buy the black version, but it sold out before I could. It is a hardwood and doesn't float, so you won't need to anchor it at all. It's totally normal for natural wood to grow a white biofilm. When I stand back and look at it, it looks really great. I recieved a Fluval Mopani Driftwood. I was originally going to buy the black version, but it sold out before I could. I am very big on using natural materials when I aquascape. I received it today and am very happy with what i got. The stone bottom helps it not float but I still had to anchor.

I then left it in cold water doing an occasional change for almost 2 weeks. If I had gotten small pieces I would have boiled them. You MUST ACCEPT that BEFORE you order any driftwood anywhere online. I was originally going to buy the black version, but it sold out before I could. You roll the dice and don't know what you're going to get. I highly recommend this driftwood and I would buy it again. The branches need to be securely assembled to avoid them coming loose and floating.

I have a larger tank over 50 gallons to 2 worked for my purposes. These are about the size of a double fist. The clean water pic is after 7 days and 3 full water changes. It has live plants, and last week I finally added the fish. I boiled mine for two hours and the water was almost black. It's a great set for creating a focal point in a 15 gallon or under tank. Was skeptical at first but not bad!
