"A week or two perhaps."Be sure to follow the directions for de-tanning the wood. This alone will not drop it to the low numbers some fish need. I am rarely a fan of artificial aquarium decor. My son got these for his turtle and gecko aquariums. It comes in black, which gives drama to the hardscape. The branches do not bend, but the joints can be rotated to get different positions. But up close it is obvious where the branches connect and makes it look fake. Unfortunately, these give off a ton of tannins.

"Realistic."After a little online research, I decided to buy mopane driftwood for my Fluval 2. I then soaked it in a bucket overnight with hot water. I've now ordered 2 large and 2 medium. Decent size around 4-6 inches each. So perfect for setting the mood in my little tank. They will fill in blank space nicely and are weighted to prevent floating. The pieces can be trimmed if needed and positioned as you need for placement.

"Thank you."Not as big as I thought, but still two nice pieces! When I stand back and look at it, it looks really great. Overall, if you need a few smaller pieces of wood, this should work for you. I was looking for a piece of driftwood for a display application. Water is still crystal clear and it certainly brought tremendous value to my tank. The first is you won't know what you have until it comes. The quality is really good and it looked really pretty sitting in my empty tank.

"75 inches in length."I like the authenticity of these pieces. The stone bottom helps it not float but I still had to anchor. I like aquariums to be and look as realistic as possible. They say to boil it, but I can't find a pot big enough to do so. He is saving the other driftwood for a tomato frog he wants. I then soaked it in a bucket overnight with hot water. After a little online research, I decided to buy mopane driftwood for my Fluval 2.

"Worth every penny."If I had gotten small pieces I would have boiled them. Surprisingly, tarter I put it into the tank, I see no tanin at all. This is acceptable to me, because my water stays clean and clear, despite the tint. I was unsure when I ordered what type of wood they would be. Make sure you boil the item before adding to your set up. This alone will not drop it to the low numbers some fish need. I have another 5 Gallon Marine and Portrait to setup.

"They love them!"They've made great hiding spots for my catfish. It's a lottery when buying driftwood online. I was originally going to buy the black version, but it sold out before I could. I boiled mine for two hours and the water was almost black. You MUST ACCEPT that BEFORE you order any driftwood anywhere online. I have not had any trouble with them hurting my fish. I left it to soak in tap water at room temperature while I sat up my aquarium.
