"You get what you pay for."I missed it in my opinion these filters are a must have. So here is the product size on the boxes that isn't included in the description! Most plants won't like the highly oxygenated gravel and will die. Replace prefilter on pump inlet while filter is running. But by two weeks, the output did drop. Replace prefilter on pump inlet while filter is running. I've definitely noticed a difference in my water quality.

"Came on time."I was having a problem with tiny fish getting sucked into the inlets. I double the size and fold them and put the bagged carbon between the layers. Never use live rooting plants with UG filters. I had to take a blade and run it through all the slats because the factory doesnt q. For my smaller fish tank I find that it is just enough. Never use live rooting plants with UG filters. This is a lot of filter pad for your money.

"Overall fairly easy."Stop buying those expensive filters, buy this and make your own. It made no sense why one was ten and the other was twenty. I rinsed and reuse same pad again 3 times and trashed later. I have found you really have to scrub the outside to get everything cleaned out. For my smaller fish tank I find that it is just enough. The concentration of flow will mean faster clogging, lower flow and motor strain. But by two weeks, the output did drop.

"Quiet and reliable."Stop buying those expensive filters, buy this and make your own. If you have several aquariums, use separate UPS backups. It was easy to assemble and very effective! It's a pain in the butt to put together the directions don’t do it that well. I don't advise using a UG filter as the only filtration source in large tanks. I have used UG filters for many years. Don't believe people who tell you they are dangerous for your tank.

"I love it."Why not save some money to put towards more fish or supplies. The material is a soft and not abrasive at all. My pad collected yellow cloudy color also all waste. Right now I am letting the filter work it's magic. The UG is certainly no exception to that. Don't restrict air-flow around them as they do get quite warm. You get what you pay for but i had to work on it a lot.

"Huge mess."I have found you really have to scrub the outside to get everything cleaned out. These work great as pre filter sponge on my quiet flow 10. I will update more pictures later, once the water isnt cloudy. Most plants won't like the highly oxygenated gravel and will die. If you have a nano tank with filter these would be perfect for that setup. You may notice this brand is lower cost than some others. I purchased these for an aquarium at school.

"I use this on each level."The filter material itself is good quality material too that doesn't break open. They do feel a little thin but we'll see how they hold up over time. I've saved so much money since switching, plus my tank stays cleaner. I can now afford to change all my filters at a fraction of the cost. Ignore all the noise about them being outdated they are a must-have buy it. I don't advise using a UG filter as the only filtration source in large tanks. Never use live rooting plants with UG filters.

"I would buy it again."The other tank is an old AIO retro tank I have with a media rack in it. I will always buy these here on Amazon for the price savings. It's also a pretty substantial roll. But if you don't weekly vacuum it up, it will eventually clog the filter. I have a Top Fin 10 power filter and these cartridges fit perfectly. I purchase the 8 pack size Large and fits great on my TopFin 40 Gallon Filter. It made no sense why one was ten and the other was twenty.

Also work great as filler for canisters and other filters. Keep your stocking of creatures low. They do feel a little thin but we'll see how they hold up over time. The measurements are about 9 cm long x 4 cm wide and the hole is about 2 cm. We operate a saltwater bait store, dealing in live shrimp and bull minnows.

"5 gallon tank."I have always had an undergravel filter and my aquariums. These have prevented my original problem. Once you do have everything it's a good running system. It was easy to assemble and very effective! I just changed it today and the water is crystal clear-- no problems. Did all of mine The same, never ripped a one and they all fit like a glove. I changed water 4 days in a row and still cloudy.

"Good quality."Does the job and price was less or at least same as big retailers. I use this in my filter for aquarium 55 gal. I double the size and fold them and put the bagged carbon between the layers. I bought these to put over the inlet to the filters in my aquariums. I bought these because I was afraid my shrimp were getting sucked up in the filter. I had a 90 gallon aquarium that I did not use an undergravel filter in. It includes 12 mesh filter bags& 12 packets of charcoal.
