"Bigger than expected."But by two weeks, the output did drop. I don't advise using a UG filter as the only filtration source in large tanks. So here is the product size on the boxes that isn't included in the description! Replace prefilter on pump inlet while filter is running. I'm using this pad to HOB filters AC70 bottom and top of it’s sponge. But if you don't weekly vacuum it up, it will eventually clog the filter. And provide a few low current areas in the tank for fish who are stressed to rest.

"I'm a client for life."Make sure to select the Medium size from Tetra. I had to take a blade and run it through all the slats because the factory doesnt q. Also work great as filler for canisters and other filters. Nitrates in small doses are not as harmful to the fish as Ammonia. Because they are the smart thing to do when you keep aquariums. I have always had an undergravel filter and my aquariums. You can run everything on battery backup sockets.

"Great product and def."I purchased this bulk filter media for a Fluval 207 canister filter. Don't get anything smaller than 750VA as you don't want to overload them. Customizable in terms of media used. The filters fit fine and I was happy to see that some carbon packs were included. And provide a few low current areas in the tank for fish who are stressed to rest. Have been using this product for few month for my planted tank. They are easy to clean but are very small.

"I've bought 3 of these."The measurements are about 9 cm long x 4 cm wide and the hole is about 2 cm. I replace my filter material in my IM Nuvo 20 reef tank every week. Stop buying those expensive filters, buy this and make your own. I was having a problem with tiny fish getting sucked into the inlets. Because they are the smart thing to do when you keep aquariums. Still, the price is of course fine at 4 for 6. I had a 90 gallon aquarium that I did not use an undergravel filter in.

"Just cut it to size."We operate a saltwater bait store, dealing in live shrimp and bull minnows. Because they are the smart thing to do when you keep aquariums. I'm using this pad to HOB filters AC70 bottom and top of it’s sponge. For my smaller fish tank I find that it is just enough. Most plants won't like the highly oxygenated gravel and will die. I end up cutting a small 2x3 inch square for each of my media baskets. I just changed it today and the water is crystal clear-- no problems.

Just be careful punching out the plastic. It was a struggle to keep the water clear before i got the goldfish. Customizable in terms of media used. Works well for my low flow Aquaclear 20. The material is a soft and not abrasive at all.

"STICK WITH THE ORIGINAL."I missed it in my opinion these filters are a must have. Keep your stocking of creatures low. They are easy to clean but are very small. Right now I am letting the filter work it's magic. This improves flow and prolongs time between cleaning. For my smaller fish tank I find that it is just enough. I double the size and fold them and put the bagged carbon between the layers.

"Works great."TopFin frame is on the left, Tetra on the right. I can now afford to change all my filters at a fraction of the cost. For my smaller fish tank I find that it is just enough. A great addition to the filtration system. Works well for my low flow Aquaclear 20. I have been using an Aquaclear 50 on a 20g long planted tank. It was a struggle to keep the water clear before i got the goldfish.

"Hehehehehe shhhhh."Most plants won't like the highly oxygenated gravel and will die. My tank is 12x36 so I utilized 3 of the panels. I have always had an undergravel filter and my aquariums. I will be using Koral Filter material from now on. 7in, which is only about half the length of the unit. Most plants won't like the highly oxygenated gravel and will die. I change my filters once a month, so the 12 pack lasts me a year!

"This will last me awhile."Any floating debri will get caught in a sponge intake on the reverse power head kit. It was exactly what I needed and fit beautifully. They do feel a little thin but we'll see how they hold up over time. Customizable in terms of media used. That's a long time if you knew how nasty that many shrimp and minnows can be!
