Most of the poop just sits on the top the sand substrate in my tank. It doesn't do as good a job cleaning the gravel like a gravity suction siphon. I got a bunch of sludge out of the bottom of my aquarium. Idk what other people are talking about that it barely pulls. This gravel vacuum works very well. I have several divided tanks and I struggle to get the normal syphon in to clean. The vacuum power is amazingly strong, yet adjustable.

Its made the water changes on my 55 gallon and 20 tall so easy. I was worried I would have to keep unplugging and plugging in through out cleaning. Needless to say there was a lot of muc on the bottom. I should have believed the other reviews. If for some reason this one fails, I'll just buy it again. I highly recommend this product for all aquarium keepers. Makes cleaning my daughter's turtle tank much, much easier.

The assembly instructions for this unit are unquestionably clear and precise. Product seems to be well made and should work a long time with reasonable care. Like I said can splice more hose on to reach to the outside or wherever. Returned, but agreed to try another one. I was worried I would have to keep unplugging and plugging in through out cleaning. The filter loads up really fast, so it's not much good for recycling water cleaning. Compared to how I was cleaning before, this made cleaning my tanks a breeze.

I should have believed the other reviews. A little tricky with the hand pump. Makes cleaning my daughter's turtle tank much, much easier. If for some reason this one fails, I'll just buy it again. Best gadget i bought for cleaning tanks! I learned that the best control was to shorten the device as much as possible. Python overkill for that size but it has it's place.

I also found that the angled attachment clogged way easy. I'm thinking of other ways this could be used! I only needed 2 pumps to get the flow going. I gotta say tho that it's really powerful. Takes me less than 10min to clean my tank with this method. I LOVE IT SO MUCH I'm getting another for the fish tank at my Mom's house. Putting the thing together is really intuitive and easy. This electric gravel vac was the best solution for my set up. It filters out the solids and returns the water to the tank. It doesn't do as good a job cleaning the gravel like a gravity suction siphon. It will suck up a little bit of sand, which is expected and acceptable. I even decimated my snail problem with this thing. The hardest thing to do is wrap up the cord to store it after use. Most of the poop just sits on the top the sand substrate in my tank. It just takes a little bit of trial and error on your part. It just takes a little bit of trial and error on your part.

My previous gravel vacuum from Petco was horrible. I would get suction for a few seconds and then it would trickle to nothing. Within a half an hour my tank almost looked brand new. I learned that the hose attachment was great at removing water from the tank. Like I said can splice more hose on to reach to the outside or wherever. I only needed 2 pumps to get the flow going. So after I received my replacement tool, i did a water change with it.

It got clogged with a small plastic container that got caught in the disposal. Returned, but agreed to try another one. I would recommend this due to the fantastic job it has provided for my needs. Hard for small hands like mine to grasp and use easily. I did add a hose from an old gravel cleaner to reach my bucket. It's easy to put together, easy to use, easy to clean.
