I have a glass bottom aquarium with no substrate. It got clogged a few times and i had to take it to the sink and run water through it. Do what I did, and do, and so many others have stated in their reviews. If, like me, you can't get suction going on a low-tech vacuum, get this thing! The costomer service for this company is wonderful. And the price is more than reasonable. Python is good too but this is fast, easy and light.

I have been looking for this for years. I lose about 5 gallons a week due to evaporation. It filters out the solids and returns the water to the tank. It doesn't do as good a job cleaning the gravel like a gravity suction siphon. At first I was furious with this thing. I should have believed the other reviews. 20 gallon long also means more ADFs!

Do what I did, and do, and so many others have stated in their reviews. Anyone giving this product a bad review is not using it properly. It siphons the water out of the aquarium very quickly. I wish i had bought this the first time. The filter loads up really fast, so it's not much good for recycling water cleaning. Suction is amazing and I don't have any issues. I've done the siphon vacuum attempts with 3 different products.

I do not write a ton of reviews but I HAVE to review this amazing time saver! The trigger can be pulled on and off and it shakes the gravel for you. I just left the spongy looking one. The vacuum power is amazingly strong, yet adjustable. Even straightening this it would just close at this point again. I have a 20 gallon long tank at floor level. I have large fish and large fish make large poop!

Prolly also easier to use with larger hands. Idk what other people are talking about that it barely pulls. I like the fact it is not draining the water when you vacuum. It has adjustable flow as well which helps between my gravel tank and sand tank. So I use the NICREW power vac in between water changes and it works great! I just pump the water directly into my sump. I gotta say tho that it's really powerful.

If it isnt working for you, try without the micro pad in and do a great clean. I can't believe a marvelous thing such as this could be so inexpensive! This is how I got the NICREW power vac to work with sand and large poop. Like I said can splice more hose on to reach to the outside or wherever. I love this setup and how easy it was to use. I wish i had bought this the first time. It would get clogged with leaves and such but that's expected.

I should have believed the other reviews. A little tricky with the hand pump. Makes cleaning my daughter's turtle tank much, much easier. If for some reason this one fails, I'll just buy it again. Best gadget i bought for cleaning tanks! I learned that the best control was to shorten the device as much as possible. Python overkill for that size but it has it's place.

I wish i had bought this the first time. I would recommend this due to the fantastic job it has provided for my needs. I gotta say tho that it's really powerful. I learned that the hose attachment was great at removing water from the tank. Putting the thing together is really intuitive and easy. Even straightening this it would just close at this point again. Cleaning a tank is the worst part of the fish owning process.
