"Well worth it."

I only needed 2 pumps to get the flow going. Wasted an entire morning taking it apart, checking everything etc. I hope that I do not need another but I would purchase again without hesitation. It kept coming off and made a mess on the floor. This one doesn't lose suction, and is easy to use. My previous gravel vacuum from Petco was horrible. Idk what other people are talking about that it barely pulls.

I learned that the best control was to shorten the device as much as possible. Hopefully my replacement works and I can change my review. But this thing is amazing the suction is crazy! It would get clogged with leaves and such but that's expected. It's easy to put together, easy to use, easy to clean. Hopefully my replacement works and I can change my review. Next time, I'll lay towels down around the tank.

Needless to say there was a lot of muc on the bottom. With this 12 Volt aquarium cleaner that apprehension is eliminated. The water gets filtered in the chamber and then RETURNED BACK TO THE TANK! This gravel vacuum works very well. If you've never used a gravel vac, get this product and watch a YouTube video. I did have to cut one of the tubes to make it a little shorter but that was easy. We have a snapping turtle and I was having to clean his tank 2-3 times a month.

Python is good too but this is fast, easy and light. I only needed 2 pumps to get the flow going. But this thing is amazing the suction is crazy! Maybe if another piece was included to attach to the right after the shutoff. I only needed 2 pumps to get the flow going. It got clogged with a small plastic container that got caught in the disposal. If you have a HUGE tank, though, it will tank you a while.

This is how I got the NICREW power vac to work with sand and large poop. I am very satisfied with how the aquarium cleaner operates and highly recommend it. I fell in love with African Dwarf Frogs when they were in a 10 gallon in my kitchen. Python is good too but this is fast, easy and light. I lose about 5 gallons a week due to evaporation. It's also pretty slow going, but this isn't necessarily a bad thing. I wish i had bought this the first time.

What I love about this is the water return function. Anyone giving this product a bad review is not using it properly. Using a bucket to remove old water and then fill up bucket with new water. A little tricky with the hand pump. I only needed 2 pumps to get the flow going. The hardest thing to do is wrap up the cord to store it after use. I learned that the hose attachment was great at removing water from the tank.

It's also pretty slow going, but this isn't necessarily a bad thing. It has adjustable flow as well which helps between my gravel tank and sand tank. This is how I got the NICREW power vac to work with sand and large poop. The bucket clamp also doesn't work very well. I'm thinking of other ways this could be used! "I have a 4 gallon tank."

I've done the siphon vacuum attempts with 3 different products. I have a glass bottom aquarium with no substrate. I also found that the angled attachment clogged way easy. It has adjustable flow as well which helps between my gravel tank and sand tank. The telescoping tube will extent to permit a larger tank to be effectively cleaned. I would definitely recommend this product. But this thing is amazing the suction is crazy!

If you've never used a gravel vac, get this product and watch a YouTube video. Python overkill for that size but it has it's place. If it isnt working for you, try without the micro pad in and do a great clean. Anyone giving this product a bad review is not using it properly. Needless to say there was a lot of muc on the bottom. Takes me less than 10min to clean my tank with this method. Hard for small hands like mine to grasp and use easily. I don't use the sponge and filter pad that came with the device. I have several divided tanks and I struggle to get the normal syphon in to clean. I'd recommend this, but it just takes a little practice. Returned, but agreed to try another one. I love this setup and how easy it was to use.
