So, I bought a 20 gallon long and transferred them from the 10 gallon. In saying this it's nice to not lift those heavy buckets to the top anymore. It has adjustable flow as well which helps between my gravel tank and sand tank. This little tool helped so much my bare bottom tank looks great again. I would recommend turning your filter off during the process. If you've never used a gravel vac, get this product and watch a YouTube video. I knew siphoning would be an issue,.

Takes me less than 10min to clean my tank with this method. I LOVE IT SO MUCH I'm getting another for the fish tank at my Mom's house. Putting the thing together is really intuitive and easy. This electric gravel vac was the best solution for my set up. It filters out the solids and returns the water to the tank. Product seems to be well made and should work a long time with reasonable care. I was worried I would have to keep unplugging and plugging in through out cleaning.

Definitely not for the common colored gravel found at pet stores. It will suck up a little bit of sand, which is expected and acceptable. The hardest thing to do is wrap up the cord to store it after use. The filter loads up really fast, so it's not much good for recycling water cleaning. It did however do a better job than the gravel vac i was using before. I LOVE IT SO MUCH I'm getting another for the fish tank at my Mom's house. I love the extendable attachments for my larger tanks.

Python overkill for that size but it has it's place. I don't use the sponge and filter pad that came with the device. I have a 29g aquarium and it does suction quickly as others have said. I even decimated my snail problem with this thing. Which was why I'm so glad I got this one. It got clogged with a small plastic container that got caught in the disposal. It kept coming off and made a mess on the floor.

I just left the spongy looking one. The assembly instructions for this unit are unquestionably clear and precise. At first I was furious with this thing. It just takes a little bit of trial and error on your part. I also used this LinkinsLegacy cleaner in my kitchen sink. 20 gallon long also means more ADFs! The only draw back, wish it came with a longer hose or attachment to make it longer. I just pump the water directly into my sump. Gets under decorations between plants and in corners. Wasted an entire morning taking it apart, checking everything etc. I wish i had bought this the first time. This thing does both at the same time and quickly. Ohh I also use it to add water to my system. I have a 20 gallon long tank at floor level. The telescoping tube will extent to permit a larger tank to be effectively cleaned. It doesn't do as good a job cleaning the gravel like a gravity suction siphon.

I have never cleaned the rocks or changed the water in my aquarium so effortlessly. It got clogged a few times and i had to take it to the sink and run water through it. I have a 20 gallon long tank at floor level. It kept coming off and made a mess on the floor. It did however do a better job than the gravel vac i was using before. I hope that I do not need another but I would purchase again without hesitation. It just takes a little bit of trial and error on your part.

I am very satisfied with how the aquarium cleaner operates and highly recommend it. What I love about this is the water return function. Gets under decorations between plants and in corners.
