"Held its color when wet."

Unlike most, I didn't purchase this gravel for its ability to glow. I am disappointed that there seems to be nothing special about this gravel. The rock arrived quickly and several days before projected. Yeah this stuff has to come prerinsed. I do not own glofish nor a glofish tank. So will just see if color stays-God willing! I just wanted to post a picture so you can see how much comes in a pack.

"Gorgeous, quality gravel."

My Vallisneria and amazon swords grow just fine in this substrate. Some of the bad feedback says it clouds the water. It really makes the tank look sharp and I believe the goldfish likes it, too. This was because of my own preconceived notions and not that of the sellers though. Everyone ask where did i get that color. We bought this for a glo fish tank. It gives a very natural riverbed look to the aquarium.

Everyone ask where did i get that color. Works great in my daughter aquarium. This is my favorite gravel I've bought from Amazon. Colors are exactly as shown on the screen- at least on my monitor. At this point I'm Trying to wash pebbles. Fast delivery and item true to description. We bought this for a glo fish tank.

I wash it in small batches in a five gallon bucket before putting it in the tank. It gives a very natural riverbed look to the aquarium. I bought two bags for my 55 gallon. All substraight needs to be thoroughly rinsed before use. For my purpose, they work perfectly, for an aquarium, they might need a quick rinse. Yeah this stuff has to come prerinsed. Bigger than normal aquarium gravel, nice colors, good quality, no smell. Color is good contrast to the Beta. I purchased to put into a dry river rock. I bought two bags for my 55 gallon.

Just make sure you rinse it out REALLY good, before adding to your aquarium. Worked great for my succulent gardens. I use a hybrid of the Walstad Method, and this stuff is perfect. For my purpose, they work perfectly, for an aquarium, they might need a quick rinse. I've been using that for a few months now with my betta. Love the vibrant neon colors mixed in with the black gravel. Had to move fish out after it nearly died.

I rinsed it before I put it in the tank. The 50 pound bag was jus barely enough for my 55 gallon tank! Wash gravel well before use, and its pretty good. Like everyone else says wash it before putting it in your tank. I have a 90 gallon aquarium with a footprint of 18 by 48 inches. It smells like chlorine and epoxy glue. Wouldn't have any other substrate for my axolotl.

They are rocks, what more do you need. Removed pebbles and refilled for the 3rd time. These colors combine to give an overall color of light brown. The color of the gravel makes the blue in my Tetra's and Gourami's pop. One bag was open and had emptied into the box. 5 inches of gravel, so you could use more or less depending on tank size. I wished I would have bought a few more so It would be deeper in my tank.
