"I have no complaints."The color looks beautiful and natural in the tank. It does need a good washing, and I used a 5 gallon bucket method. The color of the gravel makes the blue in my Tetra's and Gourami's pop. Lovely colors and everything i was looking for! I have blue lights and white lights in my tanks. I have bought 2 bags of this gravel. They are rocks, what more do you need.

- GRAVEL: Seachem Flourite Black is a specially fracted stable porous clay gravel for the natural planted aquarium. Its appearance is best suited to planted aquaria, but may be used in any freshwater aquarium environment.
- AQUARIUM BED: Gravel modifiers such as laterite are not necessary when using Seachem Flourite Black as this product is most effective when used alone as an integral substrate bed, but it may be mixed with other gravels.
- SET-UP: When adding water to the aquarium, fill slowly to avoid disturbing Flourite Black substrate bed. Place a bowl in the aquarium and add water directly to the bowl, allowing water to overflow softly on to the gravel bed. Initial cloudiness is normal, but to remove this simply use mechanical filtration
- COMPATIBLE: Flourite Black substrates will work fine with an under gravel filter and will not soften or decompose to an unsuitable state within your tank.Flourite substrates will work fine with an UGF

"Held its color when wet."I envisioned the bag being bigger since I ordered a 50lbs. If you have to bury tank decor that doesn't have suction cups then you need more. It will take you a while to properly clean. For smaller plants, these rocks are a little on the big side. But the gravel itself is nice quality and adds interest to tanks. Aside from the size, the appearance of this gravel is what stands out the most. For my purpose, they work perfectly, for an aquarium, they might need a quick rinse.

"I do not own fish."The little package of clarifier included is not nearly enough. I'll definitely use this gravel again the next time I start a new tank. I was scared to buy it after the reviews I read about it killing their fish. Obviously required a lot of rinsing. The little package of clarifier included is not nearly enough. So will just see if color stays-God willing! I didn't even need the water clarifier, and I found it in the bag.

"It is quite lovely."Snails and fish dont seem to mind the switch from sand. They served their purpose, but had to be the dirtiest rocks I have ordered. I just wanted to post a picture so you can see how much comes in a pack. For reference, my tank is a 20 gallon tall tank. The rock arrived quickly and several days before projected. Color is good contrast to the Beta. The 50 pound bag was jus barely enough for my 55 gallon tank!

"I love this substrate."I have a 90 gallon aquarium with a footprint of 18 by 48 inches. Just do a proper rinse, and you will be fine. One bag was open and had emptied into the box. I filled with filter water ad let sit for a day before relocate fish. It looks great and didn't change anything about the water. Really just rinsed a little and ready to go. It really makes the tank look sharp and I believe the goldfish likes it, too.

"Purchased this for my 1."Just be patient and realize that it's going to take a while to rinse it. I wished I would have bought a few more so It would be deeper in my tank. I've been using that for a few months now with my betta. Water became with film like on top and lots of little bubbles on every surface. Like everyone else says wash it before putting it in your tank. I used these to put on top of soil if my pot plants. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and would suggest this product to others.

"Beautiful gravel."It's a gemstone quality gravel, not the topfin crap from petsmart. Don't use any soaps or anything else. Very random shapes and colors that blend well. All n all, very happy with the purchase. 5 inches of gravel, so you could use more or less depending on tank size. Wouldn't have any other substrate for my axolotl. Worked great for my succulent gardens.

"Rocks are expensive."I really love this natural gravel, really makes my 20g High look natural! I bought two bags for my 55 gallon. All substraight needs to be thoroughly rinsed before use. I just wanted to post a picture so you can see how much comes in a pack. Just do a proper rinse, and you will be fine. It looks great and didn't change anything about the water. I wanted white rocks that were vibrant.

"Would purchase again."Unlike most, I didn't purchase this gravel for its ability to glow. This is not the colored synthetic aquarium medium. For smaller plants, these rocks are a little on the big side. Colors are exactly as shown on the screen- at least on my monitor. The color mixture with the darker colors in it does that very well. The rocks look great and arrived very quickly. Like everyone else says wash it before putting it in your tank.

"Great product."I rinsed it before I put it in the tank. Don't use any soaps or anything else. Had to move fish out after it nearly died. Wouldn't have any other substrate for my axolotl. Some of the bad feedback says it clouds the water. I actually used this on the top of my potted plants to keep gnats away. Wonderful mixture of color with the black stone.

"There is none."Arrived in 8 sealed plastic bags inside one Priority box. But the gravel itself is nice quality and adds interest to tanks. It worked really well and still allowed new stems to pop through. Wonderful mixture of color with the black stone. I used this for a path in a 22 gallon aquarium. I also found a DEAD spider in the gravel! For smaller plants, these rocks are a little on the big side.

"With normal tap water."I included a picture which doesn't do the product justice. I am disappointed that there seems to be nothing special about this gravel. Had to move fish out after it nearly died. It has lovely colors and I will be using ONLY this gravel in the future. This gravel works extremely well for planted tanks and for smaller fish species. Out of the bag there is an amazing amount of dust. These colors combine to give an overall color of light brown.

"Great quality."Purchased 9 bags of this for a new 180 gallon aquarium. It comes in a variety of colors, but I prefer the classic white. I've been using it now for a couple of months and nothing has happened to them. It smells like chlorine and epoxy glue. I just wanted to post a picture so you can see how much comes in a pack. "Small black gravel."We bought this for a glo fish tank. I didn't even need the water clarifier, and I found it in the bag. I've been using it now for a couple of months and nothing has happened to them. Removed pebbles and refilled for the 3rd time. Yeah this stuff has to come prerinsed. Not sure why there is so much bad feedback for this. Originally I bought the black with colored stones for my 5 gallon tank.
