"It's just what I wanted."

This was the cheapest DIY project with a big wow factor. It has lovely colors and I will be using ONLY this gravel in the future. The color looks beautiful and natural in the tank. Obviously required a lot of rinsing. I'm accenting with multicolored glass rocks to accent. They are rocks, what more do you need. Really just rinsed a little and ready to go.

"It's just what I wanted."

This is not the colored synthetic aquarium medium. If you have to bury tank decor that doesn't have suction cups then you need more. Secondly the gravels colour looks enhanced under a bright led light. The gravel size is exactly as described in the product description- 2 to 4mm. If you have to bury tank decor that doesn't have suction cups then you need more. This is the real deal mother earth approx. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and would suggest this product to others.

"Rocks are expensive."

I really love this natural gravel, really makes my 20g High look natural! I bought two bags for my 55 gallon. All substraight needs to be thoroughly rinsed before use. I just wanted to post a picture so you can see how much comes in a pack. Just do a proper rinse, and you will be fine. It looks great and didn't change anything about the water. I wanted white rocks that were vibrant.

"Would purchase again."

Unlike most, I didn't purchase this gravel for its ability to glow. This is not the colored synthetic aquarium medium. For smaller plants, these rocks are a little on the big side. Colors are exactly as shown on the screen- at least on my monitor. The color mixture with the darker colors in it does that very well. The rocks look great and arrived very quickly. Like everyone else says wash it before putting it in your tank.

"Great product."

For my purpose, they work perfectly, for an aquarium, they might need a quick rinse. I absolutely love how the rocks glow in my tank! It's my new, absolute favorite substrate. But didnt return it as it still looked cool with few coloured pebbles scattered. Stir periodically and then your good to go! The gravel adds amazing color and the fish and snails seem to like it. Had to move fish out after it nearly died.

"Held its color when wet."

I'd recommend but just be wary of debris. I have bought 2 bags of this gravel. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and would suggest this product to others. They are rocks, what more do you need. It does need a good washing, and I used a 5 gallon bucket method. Don't use any soaps or anything else. Don't even waste your time adding it to your tank.

"I do not like fish."

Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and would suggest this product to others. I purchased to put into a dry river rock. Wonderful mixture of color with the black stone. Plenty of rock for my 5 gal aquarium. This is my favorite gravel I've bought from Amazon. Very random shapes and colors that blend well. I do not own glofish nor a glofish tank.

"Worked like a charm."

I am disappointed that there seems to be nothing special about this gravel. It smells like chlorine and epoxy glue. I use a hybrid of the Walstad Method, and this stuff is perfect. There's a nice mix of color and gives my little nano tanks a nice earthy feel. At this point I'm Trying to wash pebbles. I recommend doing it in smaller portions. The 50 pound bag was jus barely enough for my 55 gallon tank!

I baught a 5 gallon tank and i had to buy 2 packs. There's a nice mix of color and gives my little nano tanks a nice earthy feel. I opened the bag, dumped it in a bowl and filled it with water. Unlike most, I didn't purchase this gravel for its ability to glow. The glow is pretty minimal but it still looks nice. Wonderful mixture of color with the black stone. Needs more plants but it makes the colors of the fish and other decor really pop.

It's a gemstone quality gravel, not the topfin crap from petsmart. It has lovely colors and I will be using ONLY this gravel in the future. Worked great for my succulent gardens. Color is good contrast to the Beta. Secondly the gravels colour looks enhanced under a bright led light. One bag was open and had emptied into the box. Although I had to rinse it about 5 times to fully get ALL of the dust out.

"Beautiful and natural."

I WOULD recommend buying this item! Bigger than normal aquarium gravel, nice colors, good quality, no smell. I used these to put on top of soil if my pot plants. I found it easier to do a medium sized bowl at a time. Some of the bad feedback says it clouds the water. This is perfect for a 2 gallon tank that also has some acrylic gems. Love the vibrant neon colors mixed in with the black gravel.

Not sure why there is so much bad feedback for this. Obviously required a lot of rinsing. Color is good contrast to the Beta. At least any visible to the naked eye. I rinsed it about 3-4 times and felt satisfied it was good. Just do a proper rinse, and you will be fine. Snails and fish dont seem to mind the switch from sand.

"No complaints."

I decided on this particular brand of gravel because of Amazon's add-on program. Secondly the gravels colour looks enhanced under a bright led light. This was because of my own preconceived notions and not that of the sellers though. It was easy to clean and looks great in my bamboo glass vases! I used this for a small aquarium with 2 goldfish and it worked great! Love the vibrant neon colors mixed in with the black gravel. I use a hybrid of the Walstad Method, and this stuff is perfect.

"It is quite lovely."

Really just rinsed a little and ready to go. I actually used this on the top of my potted plants to keep gnats away. There is some sand and dirt mixed in. Really like the coloring of them as well. Aside from the size, the appearance of this gravel is what stands out the most. So far, really happy with how it looks in my small tank. It gives a very natural riverbed look to the aquarium.

The rocks are REALLY dirty, and contain random debris. I wash it in small batches in a five gallon bucket before putting it in the tank. I'd recommend but just be wary of debris. This is the real deal mother earth approx. Will definitely purchase again when needed. Out of the bag there is an amazing amount of dust.
