I think it works well to not stand out like other heaters. If the water runs low or air gets in the heater shuts off. I have only had minor problems with the suction cups. They promptly fixed the issue without any delays or drama. This has the best controller that I have found on the market. I will be ordering more of these in the future. This is a powerful heater that holds temperature very well.

The red light means it's off, blue light means the temperature is constant. But my guys don't read them and don't listen! --The heater itself is a bit shorter if your tank is a short one. 210 gallon ones and one 90 gallon bow front tank. This this is amazing and is worth the money. I tested it by unplugging and replugging it. I had a thermometer on opposite side of tank and the heater was dead on true.

If the blue light is flashing it means the heater is not fully submersible. I bought a similar one at the pet store and it barely worked. This has the best controller that I have found on the market. They shipped us the upgraded version that also heats! I tested it by unplugging and replugging it. This is only day one though, so I shall keep an eye one it. The bonus digital thermometer it came with has been super helpful, and is accurate.

It does blend well in some setups and may look bulky in others. I confirm it with my cooking digital probe thermometer. I would definitely recommend this product. I will definitely be buying another one for my other tanks at bigger one. I hope these suction cups work very well. The temperatures are pretty accurate. Also were nice along the whole process. Ick for instance detaches from fish at 86 degrees and dies at 89. So far I like it setup was super easy. Sometimes you may have to tinker around with the dial. My heater is fully submerged underwater and works perfectly fine. Seems to keep the temp n the tank fairly regular. Thanks for the great customer service!

Am a totally sold customer and would recommend them to anybody! I wouldn't buy any other heater, unless one of these stops working. I went ahead and went with the the larger 300W for my 45 gallon. I have only had minor problems with the suction cups. They shipped us the upgraded version that also heats! Keeps the temperature within 1 degree of what you set it to at all times. I adjusted the set temperature a little lower to be more in the range I wanted.

I have 3 of the Fluval heaters, in various sizes. It's pretty noticeable, but I don't really care. We received the chiller promptly and put it into use. Just be careful and keep an eye on your temp settings when you have kids over! This heater is NOT fully submersible. No biggie, but annoying nonetheless. It does blend well in some setups and may look bulky in others.

It took me only two tries to get it to the correct temperature. The setting always stayed the same. But I am single and don't have to worry about this. It took me only two tries to get it to the correct temperature. They promptly fixed the issue without any delays or drama. Also I like how it shows both the current temperature and the set temperature. The heater protector was very heavy plastic and slim lined which is great.
