But now was an opportunity to upgrade. This one beats them all and now Im going to have to get back into some stem plants. I'm very happy with the light performance. If necessary, I'll just buy one more and I'm sure I'll be fine. My only concern is that the lowest setting is very bright. For the price these lights are incredible. Compared to the original Classic, the Plus model is a very nice upgrade.

Most lights make it still so dark you can't see. It's not an issue now that I understand it, but I thought it was broken at first. This one beats them all and now Im going to have to get back into some stem plants. The person I sold them to had one start smoking and burnt out the white channel. I have the tank set up as a riverine system, but fairly well planted. I eventually saw the tracking slip and it was terrible. The built-in schedule will restrict you which is super annoying.

Programming the lights was a breeze, and it lights up my tank well. It has multiple settings, dimmer and a TIMER! My only concern is that the lowest setting is very bright. ‍♂️Rgbw, Multiple settings, 3 stage timer. If you're considering using the LED stick-on lights to upgrade- don't bother. My plants have been pearling by late evening since installing the light. This lights had the reviews i was looking for.

PAR readings were taken with an apogee par meter. I purchased three of these for my 240 gallon reef tank and they work incredibly well. My main display has been running with ecotech radions. The remote that comes with the light leaves a lot to be desired. The plants love it and it's easy on the eyes. No pictures because the camera on the phone couldn't pick it up. I am running 20 something aquariums and have multiple lights running in my fishroom. It illuminates my 20g long fish tank entirely and perfectly. It can penetrate deep into the tank and grow corals. The plants love it and it's easy on the eyes. This light coming in at 6500 kelvin is perfect! The last pic is the blue setting on the NICREW light. The 300w light is 16lbs, so I wouldn't trust using drywall anchors to mount it.

For the price you will not find a better light on the market. Overall, this appears to be a good light for the price. As long as you seal it before using it, it should perform well. It's been a few years since I left this review and thought I'd leave an update. They immediately sent out the package via UPS but UPS lost it. I really wanted to like this light, but ultimately it didn't work for me. Cycling through brightness levels is awkward as well.

Compared to the original Classic, the Plus model is a very nice upgrade. I plan to upgrade all of my aquariums to this light. I initially planned to put this light on a 10 gallon with some javaferns and moss. But now was an opportunity to upgrade. So these lights obviously can produce SPS required PAR light levels. Best of all you see the true color of your plants and fish. PAR readings were taken with an apogee par meter.
