"It looks really bad."

I keep both on a low to low medium setting. And the lights that it comes with are my absolute favorite. Definitely recommend this tank hands down! This is going to be a sweet little setup! It has a hood with integrated LED lighting. I didn't know that the background only goes halfway down the back of the tank. The heater was a no-name 200W UL certified.

But overall the money was so worth this little pack. 1 gallon that a Betta really needs a 3-5 gallon home so I purchased this one as well. The curve radius also makes it hard to clean the glass on the edges. That piece is very poorly designed. Plan to buy another filter as this filter will be too noisy for you to tolerate! It just sits under the tank with no way of holding the tank in place on top of it. There arent very many other aquariums at this price point with these measurements.

My plants have been doing fine and the filter and lights have worked really well. But overall the money was so worth this little pack. Not impossible to reach but definitely an odd angle you have to go in from lol. I purchased the hygger heater and it has worked out perfectly too. Definitely recommend this tank hands down! But overall the money was so worth this little pack. The filter is actually a pretty nice design.

I always had bubbles on the front of my tank no matter how I faced the tubes. Bigger is always better for new people. So I ended up taking the filter out and replacing it with a sponge filter. I'm a first-time fish parent, and this is my first filtered aquarium. The Mingdak strip is also waterproof and submersible so there's that. I purchased the hygger heater and it has worked out perfectly too. Nothing came broke and everything is working.

Again, heater and light if you are doing real plants. It's probably fine, but I don't like it at all. My beta seems to be adjusting well. Problem is, the glass sits flush with that top edge.

And it builds up a lot of algae so it needs to be cleaned more. The rule of thumb is one small fish per gallon. No more then five or six tiny ones is my guess. The curve radius also makes it hard to clean the glass on the edges. Bigger is always better for new people. My beta seems to be adjusting well. All you need to add for a happy Betta fish is an extra light and a tank heater.

I've had it for a few days now and had zero problems hooking everything up. I purchased the hygger heater and it has worked out perfectly too. I put shrimp and guppies in it and they love it. Not crazy about the lid or the stand. If you are into dwarf shrimp that is. This tank will be much easier to live with than the smaller 1-3 gallon options. Fluval, BioOrd, and several other micro tanks.
