"These are great!"

This spreads out the 6 month expiration date after opening. The key is that you are looking for changes. No issues so far, test strips work well. Their Whisper 1-5 filter cartridges have skyrocketed in price and become a scarcity. These have worked to keep my fish safe and healthy. Takes about 5 minutes to check everything. "I used API prior to this."

I used to always take a water sample to the pet store and they would teat it. This spreads out the 6 month expiration date after opening. I have not found that to be true for myself. It's difficult to tell if all the test sites on the strip are accurate. My water was good to go and soon after I for fish that are doing well! Also, I'd avoid Tetra's strips to be honest- the reviews speak for themselves. If your lighting isn't right the colors will be very off.

Tililly Concepts Final Thoughts

"I know, I'm terrible."

In my opinion they arent quite as accurate as master test kits either. My 12 yrs old son wanted a fish tank so we got him 2. Besides these few flaws I have to say it's a great starter kit. Then put the cap on the test vial and invert it several times. This is essential for an accurate reading. I would not use it solely for checking nitrate and nitrites. These helped me check the levels and they were easy to use.

"So they're measuring!"

If this review was helpful, please click the helpful button! So this thing worked very well and gave a reading that made perfect sense. If I had a complaint, I wish the color legend was printed on the bottle. Not sure if the reading is 0 or more likely something between 0-. Wasn't labeled that way in the descriptor. Strips are accurate as far as I can tell. They test pretty accurate when run against my chemical tests.

"Worked great."

It shows it could be between 1-20 but the liquid shows 0. It looks to have the slightest green tinge but is not as green as the 0. I set up a bunch of 20 gallon tanks for fry and stuff. If I had a complaint, I wish the color legend was printed on the bottle. About my pic color difference of the water and the chart and about the bad reviews. Overall good value for a small hobbyist aquarium owner. This is no different so I wouldn't knock this product for that.

So I got these to try and I love them. Always nice to get something extra! The strips are packaged well so they stay fresh and ready to use. Well I found out why they were gulping so bad. They're super easy to read and seem to be pretty accurate. I have a freshwater tank that includes some delicate invertebrates. It does take some time though to actually get it done. "Two packages were inside."

I wouldn't call this a master kit but a great start. I mean some people would never do a water test at all. I will now test my water periodically to make sure everything is ok. It does'not' have the same accuracy but it’s very close. I'm still not sure about the chlorine site. These have worked to keep my fish safe and healthy. Quantity of strips seems very good.

So I got these to try and I love them. They test pretty accurate when run against my chemical tests. They show results, what is safe& not safe and what to do if not safe. Definitely recommend this test strip for anyone who has a Betta fish as a pet. The caps do leak a tiny bit on the tubes. It you take it to a local fish store. "Great test kit."

Tank lids, water additives and more have seen the same effect. It's quick and easy and can give you an alert if something may be going on. I find that the accuracy is wrong in the sense it's better than it reads. Just be careful, after all these are chemicals. The nitrate test is a little finicky as most users will agree. Takes about 5 minutes to check everything. My tap water actually was really green and was a very close match to the 1.

If you're out for speed, but with less accuracy get the dip tests. I used to always take a water sample to the pet store and they would teat it. Comes with a lot of test strips, that are extremely easy to use and read. Unfortunately nitrates still might be the most important test, at least for me it is.
