"My favorite brand!"It's quick and easy and can give you an alert if something may be going on. I've already lost one test tube cap, most likely due to my cats playing with them. I'm still not sure about the chlorine site. I set up a bunch of 20 gallon tanks for fry and stuff. It shows it could be between 1-20 but the liquid shows 0. I was having trouble keeping my fish tank water looking good. Comes with a lot of test strips, that are extremely easy to use and read.

- FILTRATION: Purigen ranges in color from almost white (cream) to light yellow. Seachem Purigen is not a mixture of ion exchangers or adsorbents, but a unique macro-porous synthetic polymer that removes soluble and insoluble impurities from water.
- SELECTIVITY: Seachem Purigen is an organic filtration resin that works hard to remove nitrogenous compounds and waste produced by fish, corals, and even plants, making your water crystal clear.

"He perked right up."I started wearing gloves when I use the kit. But, I will continue to order Tetra's 6 in 1 until someone makes a better test strip. This is no different so I wouldn't knock this product for that. These have worked to keep my fish safe and healthy. The price is great for all these essential tests! Overall, I am very happy with this kit. Will definitely buy again, if we ever run out!

"Simple and easy to use."To test it, I bought a 5 pack of 5 site test strips from Petco. Takes about 5 minutes to check everything. This spreads out the 6 month expiration date after opening. I tested the water and the nitrates and the ph were pretty high still. Also, I'd avoid Tetra's strips to be honest- the reviews speak for themselves. I was having trouble keeping my fish tank water looking good. I have not had any problem whatsoever.

"It's very easy to do."But it turns out that is not the case. I wish there were a simpler accurate test for it. Wasn't labeled that way in the descriptor. I have a 55 gallon tank with a few large goldfish. They're super easy to read and seem to be pretty accurate. It shows it could be between 1-20 but the liquid shows 0. "It's that easy."The nitrate test is a little finicky as most users will agree. I wouldn't call this a master kit but a great start. I even got an extra 32 test strips as an added bonus. Before, I brought water into a pet store, but kept seeing no signs of improvement. The key is that you are looking for changes. Then put the cap on the test vial and invert it several times. The strips are able to monitor pH, nitrate, nitrite, water hardness.

If you're out for speed, but with less accuracy get the dip tests. 32 seconds and I have a reading and I'm on my way with no mess. My results are never all over the place like other reviewers. But just for a quick check, its hard to beat these test strips. My results are never all over the place like other reviewers. I have a freshwater tank that includes some delicate invertebrates. Probably won't buy again because of the bleeding issues. But it is accurate and convenient as is.

This kit is extremely accurate and very well designed for convenient use and storage. You mostly find them using API also. Well I found out why they were gulping so bad. These strips are not to be trusted as a primary testing method for aquariums. Wasn't labeled that way in the descriptor.

I found running all the tests took me around 10 minutes. If you're looking for a quick-hit on a range of water quality these are the answer. Well I found out why they were gulping so bad. These are working very well for me. They quickly shipped me a new product.

If you keep freshwater fish, you will need this test kit. 6 and run a high pH you will see it could actually be 7. I have not found that to be true for myself. This is not the right way to use this test, as it took me awhile to realize this. I tested the water and the nitrates and the ph were pretty high still.

"Best strips ever."Here's Tetra's strips if you're curious. You never want to wait too long and the tank crashes and has major problems. The rest of the test in the kit are much easier to use. Tank lids, water additives and more have seen the same effect. Not sure if the reading is 0 or more likely something between 0-. So off to buy some sponge filters I went! This test kit is easy to use and the results are easy to read.
