The suction works for a month at a time- in pool and hot tub circulation. You can glue, tape or simply cover the cords in the tank to keep them discreet. I used these on a number of my aquariums that have discus fish in them. The units each had a battery in place and situated for immediate use. I have kept aquariums for about 45 years. I use a small flashlight if I don't want to brighten the area. The non-working ones still provide 2 batteries each AND.

It is large enough to see without being obtrusive. So much so that I purchased a second set of 6. It started working as soon as I put it in and has been working ever since. I used these to raise chicks, and in my parrot cages. Was going to get a floater until I saw this magnetic one! Place it on your aquarium and you are good to go. We are using them to measure various temperatures inside and outside of a motorhome.

So, in those cases, I find it easier to simply replace it. They are within a degree or two of other thermometers I've checked to compare them. Since adding one of these, it has been much easier to monitor the temp of my tanks. Very impressed, I have now had them in used for a month so far. I have this thermometer on all my tanks. I had my heater set at 73-degrees and the thermometers showed 74. The suction will never be the same.

I used to have a large hang in the side tank that you couldn't miss. We are using them to measure various temperatures inside and outside of a motorhome. The non-working ones still provide 2 batteries each AND. I used these on a number of my aquariums that have discus fish in them. I've checked it against two other thermometers that are accurate. Excellent working for our bearded dragon tank. If the digital display starts to get dim, it's time for a new battery.

In the right situation this magnet thermometer is the best available. Bought the two pack of thermometers. Excellent working for our bearded dragon tank. Bought the two pack of thermometers. One of my aquariums is glass, and the other two are plastic. Water tested with Autidefy brand for two hours. The digital display itself is easy to read at a glance.

A battery can last you up to six months, I'd say, but expect more like three. 6 inch long Bala Sharks that are known to be very unruly and boisterous. One being a very expensive digital. I removed the batteries of the units I wasn't using right away. One extra battery came with each unit. The suction cups work well anywhere I have placed it it has not Fallen. In this scenario it would probably get knocked loose a lot.

All were Close enough for a fish tank and other uses. I used these on a number of my aquariums that have discus fish in them. I don't think i'll ever be able to trust a digital thermometer again.
