I have always had trouble reading the color temp. These digital thermometers are great and there is no guesswork involved. Sure enough the digital thermometer was way off by 6 degrees! Good cheap accurate aquarium thermometer. Was going to get a floater until I saw this magnetic one! It will make you wonder why nobody thought of it before. You can not swivle the thermometer to face a certain way.

It works equally well on all of them. I tested this in a cup crammed full of ice and some water. I bent it a little bit and when I put it back it was perfectly fine. 6 inch long Bala Sharks that are known to be very unruly and boisterous. He acted aggressively towards it and so I ultimate ended up removing it due to that. The suction will never be the same. So far, they're all doing their job in my four tanks and I am quite content.

I think the people who said the suction cup broke. The digital display itself is easy to read at a glance. Since it is a mercury thermometer, it is very accurate. I can't say which is the most accurate and don't really care. 2 deg, if it was 32, it would be a SOLID block of ice. Still a recommendation for me due to price and accuracy. Place it on your aquarium and you are good to go.

It worked great and I highly recommend it! You can not swivle the thermometer to face a certain way. The units each had a battery in place and situated for immediate use. So much so that I purchased a second set of 6. I have mine on my 60 gallon cube marine tank. So this is the extreme end of the high temperature range. It worked great and I highly recommend it!

So far I've been very thrilled with these. Then she followed up again on that, asking if they had arrived and were okay. Only thing I don't love is how long the cord is. It is easy to use and install it'disappears' in your tank it is so unobtrusive. It is large enough to see without being obtrusive. I don't think i'll ever be able to trust a digital thermometer again. It started working as soon as I put it in and has been working ever since.
