So this is the extreme end of the high temperature range. So far, they're all doing their job in my four tanks and I am quite content. I think the people who said the suction cup broke. Was going to get a floater until I saw this magnetic one! The suction works for a month at a time- in pool and hot tub circulation. I just wrote it off as a minor loss. For something so cheap, they are working remarkably well.

The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because my betta fish didn't like it. Excellent working for our bearded dragon tank. Ordered three of these and they do the job. I used to have a large hang in the side tank that you couldn't miss. I find that the temps are accurate, and this product gives added peace of mind. It is about 6 inches in length and roughly an inch wide. 6F all six took about three minutes to read between 88. It is my opinion that everyone should have these that are in the Aquarium Hobby. And is easily hidden behind a plant. I find that the temps are accurate, and this product gives added peace of mind. The digital display itself is easy to read at a glance. These are the perfect size to be easily read while not being obtrusive. My only complaint is that they tend to be a one time use. However, Lucy at Zacro read this review and emailed me. I tested this in a cup crammed full of ice and some water. I don't think they are backlit but for the price they are still nice. Place it on your aquarium and you are good to go. Now if it falls into a sink full of water, it's not a problem. The non-working ones still provide 2 batteries each AND. The temperature fluctuated a lot with it. I came here to give this product a positive review. Was going to get a floater until I saw this magnetic one! I read some of the 1 star reviews and most of them are not about the product. When and if we run out of this batch, I'll instantly order another batch.

Then is started to give a low reading, and it is not reading the correct temperature. I removed the batteries of the units I wasn't using right away. I used these to raise chicks, and in my parrot cages. I used these on a number of my aquariums that have discus fish in them. 49 thermometer that is 100% accurate. One extra battery came with each unit. You dont HAVE to stick the display onto your tank.

The digital display is nice and small as well. Place it on your aquarium and you are good to go. I got the second one as a bonus that I'm now using in my old tank. You can glue, tape or simply cover the cords in the tank to keep them discreet. In the right situation this magnet thermometer is the best available. I guess these units do not like saltwater. I had my heater set at 73-degrees and the thermometers showed 74.

These things are useful for a lot besides pet husbandry, too. This company is taking the long term view of how to do business right. I read some of the 1 star reviews and most of them are not about the product. I guess these units do not like saltwater. Sure enough the digital thermometer was way off by 6 degrees! And for the price you cant beat it. You can not swivle the thermometer to face a certain way.

Far more accurate than the usual small glass ones or external LCD strips. When I set up my newest tank I will be getting another one of these. This is how you calibrate a thermometer. I got root rot after light leaks and high water temps. I removed the batteries of the units I wasn't using right away. Just BE CAREFUL WHEN ADJUSTING, IT IS GLASS AND WILL BREAK. If the digital display starts to get dim, it's time for a new battery.
