"This works really well."I have gone through two others and they lasted about a month. Very impressed with their responsiveness as they stand behind their product. But It always ended up messy with water on the floor. Once you get the tank water flowing out of the tubing. It did however do a better job than the gravel vac i was using before. I put the water from the from yard into a 58 qt bin first. They have plenty of suction to clean an inch or so off the ground.

"Cleaning is so EASY!"I may still return this BUT I'm going to try once again. Once you practice with it some its a really nice thing to have. Hopefully my replacement works and I can change my review. Most of the time I just took out half tank then top off with fresh water. The easy siphoning of fish debris used to be a pain to do. "I love it."Easy peasy and clean up is a breeze. You won't go wrong with this product. It does the same work, only better and in half the time. I may still return this BUT I'm going to try once again. So after I received my replacement tool, i did a water change with it. The trigger can be pulled on and off and it shakes the gravel for you. Python is good too but this is fast, easy and light.

"It was such a pain."I even separated the tubes and used it to clean my small 5 gallon! Makes keeping the fish tank alot easier and quicker! Instead, I would suck from the end of the tube until water came out. I have gone through two others and they lasted about a month. I LOVE IT SO MUCH I'm getting another for the fish tank at my Mom's house. I think this vacuum is a smart design by someone. 5 gallons- it works amazingly well. It did however do a better job than the gravel vac i was using before. This way I could empty into a 5 gallon bucket for mini water changes.

"I just can't use it."The pump works very well too, two squeezes and it's siphoning. I used a plastic hose from home depot as this black hose is worthless. Easy peasy and clean up is a breeze. They have plenty of suction to clean an inch or so off the ground. It made the water change in our 55 gallon tank so much easier! The water from the front yard garden hose is cold. I was using a regular siphon gravel cleaner and it was painstaking.

"And it keeps flowing!"Very impressed with their responsiveness as they stand behind their product. I wish i had bought this the first time. I just don't know why I didn’t order it sooner. Makes cleaning my daughter's turtle tank much, much easier. It is not good to let the goldfish encounter the cold water directly. And suddenly it began running again! The suction tube is plenty long to reach all over in the'hard to reach' spots.

"It was easy to assemble."They have plenty of suction to clean an inch or so off the ground. Water changing+ vacuuming, you can use it as powerhead to make more water movement. This is definitely a better tool overall. The pump works very well too, two squeezes and it's siphoning. When I used it to get the water out, I found out it has pump function. The water from the front yard garden hose is cold. Maybe this will make me not put them off now.

"That was a bit confusing."I have a 55 gallon turtle aquarium and this works awesome for it. I got this to replace my previous siphon, which was falling apart and pretty nasty. The bucket clamp also doesn't work very well. I let everything soak in water and washed with safe dish soap before using. You can see the debris coming up the tube like an elevator- hahah. It's too small, just wash that baby out at the sink. It eliminates spilled and dripping water on my carpet and floors.

"Fairly easy set up."Almost a must have for anyone with an aquarium. Definitely like the bulb for starting suction easily. I didn't see any grease or anything, but it smelled like it. I put it together in a cinch and was off and running. This hose would be over kill for 20 gals or less but I have 40 gal tanks. Hard for small hands like mine to grasp and use easily. Python is good too but this is fast, easy and light.

"I returned that one."Hopefully my replacement works and I can change my review. The speed of water removal works for cleaning an occupied tank. If used in a deeper tanks, the shower effect will all be underwater. It does the job I need it to,very effective. 5 gallons- it works amazingly well. Python is good too but this is fast, easy and light. I THINK most likely it came from the factory because it had a industrial smell to it.
