"Gets it going fast."

They have plenty of suction to clean an inch or so off the ground. I didn't see any grease or anything, but it smelled like it. I had to shake the substrate out of the bottom inch of the tube only twice! I think this vacuum is a smart design by someone. Simple, lightweight design does exactly what it says it will do. Very impressed with their responsiveness as they stand behind their product. It works great and was fairly inexpensive compared to other similar products.

So much better than my smaller python. Very impressed with their responsiveness as they stand behind their product. You can see the debris coming up the tube like an elevator- hahah. I have a 55 gallon turtle aquarium and this works awesome for it. But all in all, I'm relieved and happy! I had to shake the substrate out of the bottom inch of the tube only twice! Gets under decorations between plants and in corners.

My prior one took several squeezes and I had to hold a finger over the outlet. Python overkill for that size but it has it's place. I got this to replace my previous siphon, which was falling apart and pretty nasty. 5 gallons- it works amazingly well. We have a snapping turtle and I was having to clean his tank 2-3 times a month. I THINK most likely it came from the factory because it had a industrial smell to it. It fills buckets faster than my old siphon.

Now, the water change is a piece of cake. Best fish maintenance product I have purchased. The pump works very well too, two squeezes and it's siphoning. It's too small, just wash that baby out at the sink. It did however do a better job than the gravel vac i was using before. It quit working after the second use! I pushed the tip down into the substrate and pulled the ditritus out right away.

Ignore the orang plastic clip that attaches to a bucket. Hard for small hands like mine to grasp and use easily. Python is good too but this is fast, easy and light. They have plenty of suction to clean an inch or so off the ground. Python overkill for that size but it has it's place. It made the water change in our 55 gallon tank so much easier! I didn't see any grease or anything, but it smelled like it.

I had to shake the substrate out of the bottom inch of the tube only twice! This siphon really sucks, and I'm glad I bought it. Product seems to be well made and should work a long time with reasonable care. It quit working after the second use! Once you practice with it some its a really nice thing to have. This one doesn't lose suction, and is easy to use. The bucket clamp also doesn't work very well.

Hopefully my replacement works and I can change my review. The speed of water removal works for cleaning an occupied tank. If used in a deeper tanks, the shower effect will all be underwater. It does the job I need it to,very effective. 5 gallons- it works amazingly well. Python is good too but this is fast, easy and light. Instead, I would suck from the end of the tube until water came out. It was quiet and I could sink it into the aquarium and stir up the substrate. This has made it a lot easier to clean our fish tank. The speed of water removal works for cleaning an occupied tank. I was using a regular siphon gravel cleaner and it was painstaking. The item's weren't dirty or greasy or anything, but the smell was pretty strong. It does the same work, only better and in half the time.

I have gone through two others and they lasted about a month. Very impressed with their responsiveness as they stand behind their product. But It always ended up messy with water on the floor. Once you get the tank water flowing out of the tubing. It did however do a better job than the gravel vac i was using before. I put the water from the from yard into a 58 qt bin first. They have plenty of suction to clean an inch or so off the ground.

Makes cleaning my daughter's turtle tank much, much easier. I even separated the tubes and used it to clean my small 5 gallon!
