The trigger can be pulled on and off and it shakes the gravel for you. It got clogged a few times and i had to take it to the sink and run water through it. Gets under decorations between plants and in corners. Sometimes I would get tank water in my mouth. Thank you for making my job easier. "It was such a pain."

I gotta say tho that it's really powerful. Now, the water change is a piece of cake. So much better than my smaller python. Works as advertised and was delivered faster than estimated. The suction tube is plenty long to reach all over in the'hard to reach' spots. Definitely like the bulb for starting suction easily. I take that off to hit the fine crevices.

They have plenty of suction to clean an inch or so off the ground. I didn't see any grease or anything, but it smelled like it. I had to shake the substrate out of the bottom inch of the tube only twice! I think this vacuum is a smart design by someone. Simple, lightweight design does exactly what it says it will do. Very impressed with their responsiveness as they stand behind their product. It works great and was fairly inexpensive compared to other similar products.

Makes keeping the fish tank alot easier and quicker! I had a manual pump before that used suction pressure to suck out all the water. I opted for a gift card and I will have to find another way to make this thing. This is definitely a better tool overall. I'd recommend this, but it just takes a little practice. The pump works very well too, two squeezes and it's siphoning. I used a plastic hose from home depot as this black hose is worthless. Easy peasy and clean up is a breeze. They have plenty of suction to clean an inch or so off the ground. It made the water change in our 55 gallon tank so much easier! The water from the front yard garden hose is cold. I was using a regular siphon gravel cleaner and it was painstaking.
