It eliminates spilled and dripping water on my carpet and floors. I have several divided tanks and I struggle to get the normal syphon in to clean. I haven't tried all the function tools this kit provided. I may still return this BUT I'm going to try once again. Suction is amazing and I don't have any issues. And suddenly it began running again! It was quiet and I could sink it into the aquarium and stir up the substrate.

5 gallons- it works amazingly well. Had a minor issue which their service department addressed immediately. The water from the front yard garden hose is cold. Do what I did, and do, and so many others have stated in their reviews. I do not write a ton of reviews but I HAVE to review this amazing time saver! Most of the time I just took out half tank then top off with fresh water. The shower head also has a nice pressure control on it to make it Spray more or less.

I let everything soak in water and washed with safe dish soap before using. Like I said can splice more hose on to reach to the outside or wherever. I pushed the tip down into the substrate and pulled the ditritus out right away. This one doesn't lose suction, and is easy to use. This way I could empty into a 5 gallon bucket for mini water changes. Definitely not for the common colored gravel found at pet stores. I used a plastic hose from home depot as this black hose is worthless.

"That was a bit confusing."

I have a 55 gallon turtle aquarium and this works awesome for it. I got this to replace my previous siphon, which was falling apart and pretty nasty. The bucket clamp also doesn't work very well. I let everything soak in water and washed with safe dish soap before using. You can see the debris coming up the tube like an elevator- hahah. It's too small, just wash that baby out at the sink. This one doesn't lose suction, and is easy to use. The water gets going fast too so be careful lol thanks so much! I bought this one and I absolutely love it. So much better than my smaller python. I had to put the goldfish into the other 5-gallon tank, and then do the water change. Ignore the orang plastic clip that attaches to a bucket. It's too small, just wash that baby out at the sink.

Hopefully my replacement works and I can change my review. The speed of water removal works for cleaning an occupied tank. If used in a deeper tanks, the shower effect will all be underwater. It does the job I need it to,very effective. 5 gallons- it works amazingly well. Python is good too but this is fast, easy and light. I THINK most likely it came from the factory because it had a industrial smell to it.

Gets under decorations between plants and in corners. Makes keeping the fish tank alot easier and quicker! I have gone through two others and they lasted about a month. So much better than my smaller python. The nuisance has certainly yielded me from cleaning tank more often. This has made it a lot easier to clean our fish tank. The pump works very well too, two squeezes and it's siphoning. I found that it's difficult to use. I did have to cut one of the tubes to make it a little shorter but that was easy. I LOVE IT SO MUCH I'm getting another for the fish tank at my Mom's house. So after I received my replacement tool, i did a water change with it.
