I pushed the tip down into the substrate and pulled the ditritus out right away. Product seems to be well made and should work a long time with reasonable care. I even separated the tubes and used it to clean my small 5 gallon! Prolly also easier to use with larger hands. It quit working after the second use! So much better than my smaller python. Definitely worth the money spent on the product.

Love the item and recommend this seller! It finally broke after 10 years of use so I could justify buying a new one! It does the same work, only better and in half the time. The item's weren't dirty or greasy or anything, but the smell was pretty strong. I liked the idea of this product when I saw it, and decided to take a chance. All it takes is a couple of pumps and the water starts flowing. It is not good to let the goldfish encounter the cold water directly.

Ignore the orang plastic clip that attaches to a bucket. I put it together in a cinch and was off and running. And suddenly it began running again! It works great and was fairly inexpensive compared to other similar products. I let everything soak in water and washed with safe dish soap before using. It quit working after the second use! The shower head also has a nice pressure control on it to make it Spray more or less.

I have gone through two others and they lasted about a month. - Multiple head attachment for different tasks. I do not write a ton of reviews but I HAVE to review this amazing time saver! All it takes is a couple of pumps and the water starts flowing. Maybe this will make me not put them off now. I even separated the tubes and used it to clean my small 5 gallon! I liked the idea of this product when I saw it, and decided to take a chance. The shower head also has a nice pressure control on it to make it Spray more or less. Simple, lightweight design does exactly what it says it will do. Gets under decorations between plants and in corners. I take that off to hit the fine crevices. It kept coming off and made a mess on the floor. I am very pleased with this product!

Putting the thing together is really intuitive and easy. The vacuum insn't too loud which is good, and has very good suction. But It always ended up messy with water on the floor. I even separated the tubes and used it to clean my small 5 gallon! I LOVE IT SO MUCH I'm getting another for the fish tank at my Mom's house. Very impressed with their responsiveness as they stand behind their product. Now, the water change is a piece of cake.
