"Great pump!"I regularly test for nitrate, nitrite, total hardness, alkalinity, pH. This had turned my tank from a black algae mess to Crystal clear. There are all sorts of things you can do and setup's you can apply these pump's too. Third pic was taken 15 days after the first pic, 5 days after the second. The COODIA UV filter is behind the big rose quartz on the left. The pump is quiet and energy efficeint. The water has cleared considerably, but it is still a tiny bit milky.

"Last one ran for 8 years."This UV sterilizer beat my expectations. If you have turtles and want to circulate the air around this is for you! UV lights do loose their effectiveness over time. I figured it must have been left over from manufacturing or it had broken in transit.

"30 gal tank."I tried weekly 40% water changes, API Clear, and the algae just got worse. Pretty much a no brainer there if they offer it. Until my local shop told me to get Eheims. Smokes their DNA at the reproductive level making them sterile. Closing the shades and a massive water change could not hold it at bay. UV lights do loose their effectiveness over time. I would've spent more on just an air pump and stone than I did for this.

"It works great."I took it out of the package and it was perfect. The most impressive thing about this pump is how quiet it is! It tasted delicious and looked great in my glass. Its pump apparentely was too small for the tank. Replacing my 15 yr old aquarium hoses due to old one hardening. Great pump for CPR BakPak protein skimmer. Easy to use, but has no instructions, at least mine didn't.

"Did the job perfectly."Replacement pump arrived quickly and my tank was up and running like it should. Any tight squeeze and it wants to start a little kink. It's not very loud, but not silent either. Tubing worked out great with use on my Fluval 206. The black and white pic is the tight shot to show the setup. I realy liked the instruction manual and accessories. They are some of the quietest pumps on the market!

With the amount of light I get I find it necessary to keep it on. Actually its a no maintenance pump. Eheim is one of the best filters out there. Not a bad option for when you need an adjustment. If you have turtles and want to circulate the air around this is for you!

"Works well."Anyways, I usually turn it on before i go to bed and off during the day. You could use them for circulation pump or wave maker. I came home to a bloom explosion and water that looked like kiwi sangria. After two more days of running, I turned it off because of the current. Plugged it in and all was right with this piece of my world. Also, some of the connecting pieces are a little loose fitting. The Aquatop seem and the flow feels more powerful.

"Thanks again!"I would've spent more on just an air pump and stone than I did for this. Fit my Eheim Double Tap Quick Release perfectly. This filter worked exactly as it should. One the first few days the water was so cloudy I couldn't see the U. It works, it's not too expensive, and I'm happy. Once I put this filter in I saw results in 2 days and better results by day 5. The unit is silent as far as I can tell, unless you turn the bubbles on.

I put it in the aquarium, and took the first pic five minutes later. I had to take it out of the tank and pull off the cover to see if the light was on. Its pump apparentely was too small for the tank. I believe I have never had a Marineland product before, and am generally impressed.
