"That said."This filter worked exactly as it should. Adjusted flow output by half and my aquarium is now crystal clear. I believe I have never had a Marineland product before, and am generally impressed. I did everything to combat it that I could. I have a 29 gallon Oceanic Nanocube and have always had poor water circulation. Not having a free flow intake is what burns electric pump motors out. Just what I needed to fix my filter and avoid paying 200 bucks for a new one.

"They last a long time."My loft gets lots of sun, so algae is a constant battle in my 60 gallon. It's bulky and must be completely submerged so it's hard to miss in my tank. Brand new out of the box and a great price. Pretty much a no brainer there if they offer it. Sure one would work okay, but two are optimal and your fish will thank you for it. I regularly test for nitrate, nitrite, total hardness, alkalinity, pH. The bubbles are noisier than an air-stone.

"Nice product."I would defiantly consider getting another. If you have a Biocube 29 HQI, this is a great choice at a reasonable price. This new whisper quiet Eheim 1000 pump has solved all my water quality problems. This had turned my tank from a black algae mess to Crystal clear. You need to replace this after cleaning the filter every so often. After two more days of running, I turned it off because of the current. I was happy to find the same barracuda pump at a reasonable price.

"So far, it's not working."I can not say enough about this great product. Replacing my 15 yr old aquarium hoses due to old one hardening. Bought it to replace my stock water pumps for JBJ nanocube 28g. If you have a Biocube 29 HQI, this is a great choice at a reasonable price. I deducted one star for the price, but you certainly can't fault the quality. I was skeptical because of the price, but this thing really is a game changer! The most impressive thing about this pump is how quiet it is!

You could use them for circulation pump or wave maker. I took it out of the package and it was perfect. Fit perfect on my eheim canister 2213. Any tight squeeze and it wants to start a little kink.

"Give my fishes new life!"The flow rate is great for my 20 gallon. Replacement pump arrived quickly and my tank was up and running like it should. Everything is still clear 4 days later. This new whisper quiet Eheim 1000 pump has solved all my water quality problems. I had to take it out of the tank and pull off the cover to see if the light was on. Once I put this filter in I saw results in 2 days and better results by day 5. Best thing I've gotten for my tank in the year we’ve been fighting the algae issue.

"Last one ran for 8 years."The water has cleared considerably, but it is still a tiny bit milky. I had to replace my aquarium pump recently after five years of service. Fit perfectly and has been working well. I would've spent more on just an air pump and stone than I did for this. General and super ich cures seemed to only kill my wallet and change water color. I have the Eheim 3000 also and both pumps are well worth the money! Hopefully I can get at least 5 years out of this little pump.

"No issues."Love it, I have used it here and there for filling up my tanks easier. I purchased this replacement since my RIO HF8 died just after 3 years. Water filter I carry to purify backcountry water when I'm backpacking. Pretty much a no brainer there if they offer it. Plugged it in and all was right with this piece of my world. The clip with prongs to keep the tube in place also doesn't fit and stay in place. Fit my Eheim Double Tap Quick Release perfectly.
