Thanks to the Amazon reviewer who mentioned this! Fish would die occassionally every few weeks or so. Fish possess an antioxidant defense system to reduce the negative effects of ROS. I recieved it today at 3pm and applied it around 4pm. DON'T just wait everything will be fine. I wanted to see if it would take the chlorine out of my swimsuit. One planted that has algae problem so bad.

I read the instructions, measured out the product, and added it to the tank. By the following morning, the water was clear of algae. UV light works on it but not much else. I intend to use this for every aquarium or pond I start. I finally gave in and purchased this product. In the morning I awoke with my fish at the bottom barely able to move. Do not clean the filters, do not change the filters.

This is my go to water conditioner and stressed fish treatment. I've used it for years with great results. The chloramines contain a small amount of ammonia. I have been using API on his suits for 3 weeks now and so far so good. The bottle will last me years as it is huge! I use in a freshwater aquarium and works well. This will give you how many drops is required per gallon.

My water is crystal clear again, and it smells like a healthy fish tank again. Fish seem healthy and active during use. But the septic tank bacteria did nothing. This is my go to water conditioner and stressed fish treatment. Yes I know, they aren't supposed to live that long and no I can't prove it. The water we get here in SoCal is hard with chlorine in it. One planted that has algae problem so bad. 4-5 squirts in a sink of water, soak my suit 10 min, wring out and hang to dry. I have used this consistently since cycling my small sized fresh-water tank. I'm sold on this, I've tried SO MANY and wow. I have had aquariums for 40 years and have always used their product Cycle. Do not gravel vac or disturb the substrate. I have a Fluval tank and only use their chemicals.

It is much safer to simply to add 3 drops per gallon. You need a source of ammonia to feed the bacteria which Dr. API Stress Coat is a phenomenal product. If you're serious about fish keeping, always quarantine and always use Stress Coat! I use in a freshwater aquarium and works well. I tried it without the water change and really didn't make a difference. If either or both ammonia and Nitrite are above 1ppm do not add ammonia.
