"Yeah it sucks."

Maybe a larger BiOrb for the future when I want more fish again. I find them very easy to keep clean. I have this aquarium for now a couple of weeks. I rely very heavily on Amazon reviews for my online shopping, so here is mine. It contains 8 styrofoam corner protectors on the tank. I didn't want to cover the filter because it would make cleaning harder. I didn't notice the dust on the glass until I reviewed the zoomed in pictures.

Unboxing the inner package, with the tank itself was not difficult. I bought two of these tanks and the quality of them in just amazing. It started to malfunction immediately upon being plugged in. We had a new home built this year, and just moved in. Still waiting for the silicone to cure. I purchased one of the biOtube plant sets also. I used an Aquatop Np302 and the tubing from the Portrait as my return pump.

Not a single smear or excess silicon in any place, no bubbles, ymmv. I added some privacy film to help hide the cords and the hang-on-back filter. After the foam is in I put the gravel in. Mine's sitting on the carpet, and it's completely silent that way. It sits inside of styrofoam and is double boxed and wrapped once with bubble wrap. A little piece of foam in the bubble tube keeps gravel out while putting it in. By using live rock and sand, you'll be able to cycle this tank within 3-4 weeks.

Overall I'm pleased with the purchase. Please note that the tank is 100% clear. I really like the ceramic media as it provides a great home for the'good' bacteria. Unboxing the inner package, with the tank itself was not difficult. I bought an additional 2 Lb Bag Ceramic Media, and that does the trick. I will update if I have any issues. That is a stand up person and one I will do business with again.

The pictures are from day 4, note the crystal clear water. I could not put water in it as shipped because the return pump was compromised. Just do your homework and don't overload this tank. You can see the pic and decide what's right for your needs. I also add seachem pristine per direction once a week for first few months. If you upgrade your filter situation this BiOrb is really neat. Double the amount of ceramic media they give you. The longest delay was my downloading invoice. I've got two of these tanks, one at home and one at work. Medium on the bottom, coarse on top. My ammonia is undetectable including the N2 and N3. You must buy a special one they produce for marine tanks.

So far 2 fish and 1 water frog died this way in my aquarium within 6 months. The multi colored LED lights cost more than the tank itself too. Mostly I just love looking at this tank. Definetly get a small ato as it does allow considerable evap. 1 gallon puts my other 7 tanks to shame. I've got two of these tanks, one at home and one at work. You must buy a special one they produce for marine tanks.

Wanted the ADA look but on a budget and this fits the bill. If you upgrade your filter situation this BiOrb is really neat. Medium on the bottom, coarse on top. Most important though is the lighting issue. The stock pump is high quality but opted to use it in the tank to circulate water. I wanted to wait a little before reviewing so I could give a good and honest review. Please note that the tank is 100% clear.

Glass was very well packaged and arrived in excellent condition. I purchased one of the biOtube plant sets also. Medium on the bottom, coarse on top. I think I am going to get the 28 gallon also for my office area in the loft. I find them very easy to keep clean. 5 watt works well and keeps it between 78-80 degrees if the room air is around 70–71. I spoke to a gentleman in customer service named Julio this afternoon.
