The only other thing that you should be aware of is the large size of the unit. This certainly worked for my purposes. I have used this every day for a year and love it. I figure it holds enough for about 5 days at the current feeding rate. Suitable for locating anywhere on the tank ledge. That is the only potential issue with automatic feeders. It works great and kept our fish live for a month absence. Other than this complicated setting, it's very easy to use. Filling the container is easy, and the auto timer is amazing. I simply modified my hood to accommodate this feeder. Otherwise you will no doubt eventually get water in there. However until I find a tank that fits my space, that is it. You can tell it how many times you want it to spin, up to 3, I think.

However, this is not a good fit for that purpose. I tried his usual food pellets and quickly decided that they would not work at all. All the time and effort I could have saved. It's been two weeks and Betta Boy has figured out who feeds him now. I did a couple test pours into a plastic bag so I could get it just right. I couldn't hear it was running still I saw fish foods in the tank. Once I got the opening where I wanted it, things have gone great.
