"Love this feeder."Also don't leave the USB port connected to a charger all the time. I decided to use it as the everyday feeder, and not just when I'm out of town. Battery indicator on the display lets you know how much battery life remains. The notches are too widely spaced and too ill fitting. I also find it much easier to program. Its alot more simple than how it reads. I mix Omega One Color and Tetra Color flake foods in a ziplock bag.

"Operation wise, no flaws."Portion size can be adjusted easily. The cup is removable and there is a large door on the side as well. However, this is not a good fit for that purpose. Consistent food size is the key to more consistent results. I saw another reviewer who said they had two of these on their tank. I have not, however, tested it with pelleted food. This will ruin li-ion batteries over time.

"That did it."Took me all of 5 minutes start to finish to get it set up. USB charging is quick and easy and uses a standard micro USB cable. Its alot more simple than how it reads. I figured too much food was better than too little. I can leave town and not worry about the fish. However, this is not a good fit for that purpose. There are a couple ways to mount this feeder.

"Right above him."I have this on a 60 gallon aquarium and so far it's working great! The size of the tank is too small to recommend. They have fish and the need for them to be fed was much needed. However, I was able to get it to stay stuck in between two. Consistent food size is the key to more consistent results. The pellets stick to the tape and slowly build up clogging the hole. Don't lose the instructions or you'll go crazy trying to program it. May want to test it a few times before leaving for a long trip. Comes on a swivel bracket to accommodate special angles for installation. The feeder has helped me automate my tank, which is one less thing to worry about. Taping a piece of ribbon in place worked out better.

It holds a very large amount of food and was very overkill for my setup.
