"Fish survived."The feeder has helped me automate my tank, which is one less thing to worry about. This is best if you have not edge on your aquarium. You can tell it how many times you want it to spin, up to 3, I think. Unfortunately, most pet store aquariums do have a lip. Not carbon zinc, alkaline batteries. Product does NOT come with required AA batteries. They have fish and the need for them to be fed was much needed.

"I plan to buy it."I bought this feeder to use on my betta tank for weeks when I go home from college. The slider door lets you set it for as wide or as narrow as you need. I have mine set at the smallest possible opening. The slider door does not move on its own during rotations. Another nice feature is the feeder will rotate on its screw attachment base. Only downside was that the hole was too big for red tiny bit fish food. Programming feeding times is easy using the instructions provided.

"Best thing I ever bought."This would have been a great investment when I started my aquarium 30 years ago. I have a one gallon tank with a betta. The only other thing that you should be aware of is the large size of the unit. This thing must be running on uranium. This is best if you have not edge on your aquarium. It runs off batteries so it lasts the full two weeks they are gone. I have the Stage 2 round pellet feed.

"This thing worked great."There are a couple ways to mount this feeder. So you don't have to constantly be adding food. They mostly were checking in to make sure this EHEIM feeder was working. "Worked for my beta."I figure it holds enough for about 5 days at the current feeding rate. I mix Omega One Color and Tetra Color flake foods in a ziplock bag. The clamp is sturdy but could be improved by rubberized grips for the tank glass. Sure the stench is appalling but he's fed. I would rather overbuy than underbuy. Set the hour then minute, then number of rotations at that time. The size of the tank is too small to recommend.

USB charging is quick and easy and uses a standard micro USB cable. So far I have only used flake food in it, but it's handling it just fine. 5 notches and it's worked perfectly for me. You can make it work with these, but you need to be careful.
