I did end up nicking the rim when washing it. On the bowl I received, they are quite smooth and barely noticeable. With my 2 plastic fish bowls I set about putting together my terrariums. I easily popped the dent back out and there is no longer any issues with the bowl. I've seen it at businesses filled with business cards or with Candy. Did my own flowers and everything looked perfect. He loves it and is happy to be able to actually swim around once again.

Also I do not have to change the water quite so often. I purchased this to be a home for a betta. I bought these for a family space themed costume. I would recommend if you use it for a fish to use larger stones instead of gravel. The plastic is firm enough, but not unbreakable. Perfect for those who love fishing, like my husband and I. He loves it and is happy to be able to actually swim around once again. On the bowl I received, they are quite smooth and barely noticeable. It's the perfect size, good quality and heavy duty. Now I have a giant dog with a tail that can knock a ball out of the ball park. Had gone through a bunch of glass bowls. As for the he bowl, its very good for what I bought it for. They arrived in perfect condition- no dents.

I also did not read into the reviews very well until I actually received them. Plus to watch the betta in the bowl is very calming for me. Did my own flowers and everything looked perfect. Everything seems to be well made and there are no jagged edges or anything. I just received it and looks exactly as pictured. I purchased this to be a home for a betta. Plastic is perfect for your little fishy! This product came packed very good and in excellent condition. Hexagonal shape makes it easy to place next to each other. It's nice, my betta likes his new home. Now I have a giant dog with a tail that can knock a ball out of the ball park. He was getting way too big for his older, smaller bowl so I got this. Couple it with how deep it is, he seems to resent how much he has to swim sometimes.
