"Good product."

Worked well, water and air flow is minimum due to slots being very thin. I highly recommend this product, simple and easy to use! No more babies swimming back up the cracks and getten eaten by mom. The babies are now in the box without the middle divider piece. I can home one day and one was dead and all torn up from the sides. We have 12 babies swimming around in our tank at the moment. The funnel tray is placed too high within the box.

"Very easy to assemble."

With the fry drop removed you get a really nice size little tank. I took the out of the tank and put them in mugs but it was not practical. I do suggest leaving the lid above the waterline, however, as it has two holes. Two days later and we have about 20 babies swimming in the bottom part of the box. I'm using it as a nursery for baby guppies. The Petzilla and Lee's make observations easier. I really liked the fact I could add an airline for water flow.

"This is not a small box."

Lets in just enough new water to keep it clean, but not too much to have a current. I left it out and the babies were sneaking out through that hole. The net is harder to see through but not for the casual observer. The little air tube connection on the side is a nice addition too. I put the rainbar into it so now they can't escape. The dividers only work with the fry drop in place. We picked this up to use as a secondary QT box for our reef tank.

This works better at protecting babies from mom than the one room nets. I gave 4 stars becauses the mesh gets algae ridden pretty easily and stained green. For me, the geatest feature is that it floats and floats evenly. Mine's been doing fine and very useful. 5 gallon, but he was struggling to swim. We had 2 pregnant fish in seperate halves with them seperated. In the picture, the Petzilla Aquarium Fish Breeder box is on the right.

It is large enough for fish bigger than guppies. My husband got me a few guppies that apparently had been pregnant. We picked this up to use as a secondary QT box for our reef tank. Good size and I like the separated chambers. With the fry drop in you have plenty of room for temporarily keeping the females. I will definitely buy these kind of breeder again. Guppy fry didn't escape and they look happy.

I currently have about 30 or so new babies in it. Fits nicely in a size 10 gallon tank. My kids observe the fish and write notes about health and behavior. It works as it is designed to do and kept my fry safe. I have used other breeder boxes and like this one the best. The net is harder to see through but not for the casual observer. So it IS possible for very small fry to slip through the slits. I rated this 4 because it works great for the babies to live in for a bit. If you have a smaller tank, the Lee's may be the better choice. We had 2 pregnant fish in seperate halves with them seperated. I really like the design of this breeder box. With the fry drop in you have plenty of room for temporarily keeping the females. Not as sturdy as I thought but perfect for what I wanted. Neither ended up having their babies in the breeder box. I have used other breeder boxes and like this one the best.

For me, the geatest feature is that it floats and floats evenly. It works as it is designed to do and kept my fry safe. The little air tube connection on the side is a nice addition too. I ordered this and it came next day. I really like the design of this breeder box. I bought one to try it out, and it's been excellent. She doesn't seem very stressed, honestly, and likes to nap in the V's.

I use this all the time for fish or new plants. I've used several other floating breeders, and have always wished they were larger. I feel like this breeder box is sturdier than some others that I've used. It comes with 2 removable dividers and a removable fry drop slotted piece. I am using several to sort through some fish I am breeding. Mine's been doing fine and very useful. I really liked the fact I could add an airline for water flow.
