So overall, this is a functioning product with little issues. It comes with 2 suction cups for when you want it to stay in place. It comes with 2 suction cups for when you want it to stay in place. Perfect for holding my guppy babies. It works as it is designed to do and kept my fry safe. That way the water still flows nicely in where mom is. I have both the small and larger version.

I have found one very unique use for it though. There is a grate that sits about an inch above the bottom of the box. As with many plastics, if it isn't thick enough, then it can break. I put three pregnant females in the box immediately. My other one was fine but I brought her out so she wouldn't get hurt. I have noticed that with all they pieces in that food does not exit the bottom half. I personally use these to introduce smaller fish into my community tanks.

"So it's a good size."

I really liked the fact I could add an airline for water flow. The lid doesn't lock in place too snugly which make it easy to open. If that bottom piece fit better it would have been perfect. I don't see how they send used stuff out as new! For me, the geatest feature is that it floats and floats evenly. So it IS possible for very small fry to slip through the slits. Future design improvement- less room for fry, more room for moms.

I didn't have the space for an external one. I bought one to try it out, and it's been excellent. There is a grate that sits about an inch above the bottom of the box. Fits nicely in a size 10 gallon tank. I really like that it has suction cups, and is very sturdy on the glass. I'll put the bag from the pet shop in it and cut it open. I took out the part that separates the parent from the babies.

With the fry drop in you have plenty of room for temporarily keeping the females. She doesn't seem very stressed, honestly, and likes to nap in the V's. I left it out and the babies were sneaking out through that hole. I don't see how they send used stuff out as new! There are slats in the bottom for the babies to escape to, to keep from being eaten.

This product is good for the price. He's happy just sitting on his plant blowing bubbles. Apparently my purple Betta, Dragonfruit, did not get the memo. I tested both my tank and box water to find a big difference in Ammonia levels. The seller, Pawfly, was very nice about it. That way the water still flows nicely in where mom is. I highly recommend this product, simple and easy to use! I took out the part that separates the parent from the babies. This is the best floating breeder I have ever tried. She doesn't seem very stressed, honestly, and likes to nap in the V's. Now he's chilling in quarantine until he heals. First one arrived used with gravel and a hole in it. The suction cups hold well, and it has floating handle chambers as a backup.

It comes with 2 removable dividers and a removable fry drop slotted piece. I also like to put in a bowl with acclimating. Suction cups do not hold the box up under its own weight. I do suggest leaving the lid above the waterline, however, as it has two holes. It would have been nice to have the suction cups. Mine's been doing fine and very useful. We picked this up to use as a secondary QT box for our reef tank.

You have to be really careful with shrimp or they die. He had room to still swim around and I didn't feel too guilty. I currently have about 30 or so new babies in it.
