"He didn't eat them day 1."

I went to a different Petco and found the right brand and brought it home. They float well, so he can play more. I accidentally purchased this thinking it was flake food. Best of luck to everyone and stay safe and healthy. The flakes are consistently mostly big, so it's not a big bucket of duff at all. I work long hours and don't always have time to feed my fish on a regular schedule. I have been using TetraMin brand for 20 of those years.

  • Penn-Plax Pro Balance Vacation Fish Feeder – Slow Release Food That’s Great for Weekend Vacays: 1 Block Feeds up to 3 Days (4 Blocks per Package) – Safe for Freshwater & Saltwater Tanks
  • GREAT FOR WEEKEND VACAYS: Worried about finding a fish-sitter as you plan for your next weekend getaway or adventure? Or, whenever or not they’ll overfeed your fish? Fear no more! Our Pro Balance Vacation Fish Feeder Blocks will feed your fish while you’re away. Each block feeds to up 3 days, and each package contains 4 Starfish Shape Blocks.
  • IDEAL FOR 10 – 15 GALLON TANKS: Our Fish Feeder Blocks work best in aquariums that are between 10 and 15 Gallons in size. One block will last 3 to 4 days depending on the PH level and water temperature. A minimum water temperature of 72°F (22°C) and PH level of 6.6 to 7.0 is most efficient for the release of food particles.
  • REQUIRES AERATION & CIRCULATION: Within hours, our Feeder Blocks will start to dissolve, releasing nutritious freeze-dried foods while neutralizing your aquarium’s water. In order for this to happen, your tank should have the proper aeration and circulation. Our Feeder Blocks dissolve normally with setups that have an air stone or filter.
  • GIVE IT A TRY BEFORE YOUR TRIP: Just like us, our fish can get picky over their food. As a suggestion, you may want to place 1 Feeder Block in your tank a week before your vacation or trip. This way, you’ll see if they like it or not. To take it a step further, you may want to leave the tank alone as you test our Feed Blocks, mimicking the trip.

"But I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"

The flakes are easy to break up in your fingers for small little mouths if needed. I have used this brand and fish food since the day I purchased my fish. The flakes are easy to break up in your fingers for small little mouths if needed. The Goldfish Flake is their favorite snack in the morning and evening. I have been feeding him every day for 1 week now and he loves to swim and play now. However, I did have one small issue my package was delivered to my neighbor. For whatever reason, my fish have never been much attracted to pellet food.

"Would recommend!"

I'd tried various flaked food, bloodworms, brine, and even live baby earthworms. They anxiously wait with signs waiting for it always. I have been using TetraMin Tropical Flakes to feed guppies for over a dozen years. This container is a great size for the price. Much better price than at the big box pet store. I have been using this product for decades, and it is loved by all my fish. The fish seem to not care about the switch either way.

"Our tank is pretty clean."

I can't use it in tanks where the majority of the fish feed at the surface. My 20+ female and male bettas prefer these crisps to other foods. They keep having babies so they must be happy lol. Because apparently my queensland dogs like it and need to participate too. I've had backyard goldfish ponds over the last 30 years at three different homes. I have been feeding him every day for 1 week now and he loves to swim and play now. The fish have grown beautifully, rich in color and very healthy.

They work perfectly in the automatic feeder. The next day they seemed less interested. They come out of their hiding spots almost as soon as it hits the water. They float well, so he can play more. I had tried flake food in an automatic feeder which was a total disaster. My wife has raised her goldfish on Tetra goldfish flakes from day one. LoL, So we are all happy at meal time.

"Our fish love this food."

I've had backyard goldfish ponds over the last 30 years at three different homes. Meaning it's overfilled for the better! Many betta foods are floating orbs that have a diameter too large for bettas. We've tried most of the brands too. However, I did have one small issue my package was delivered to my neighbor. It's a peaceful scene those pretty fish enjoying their snack. Its a myth that petstore gold fish die after the first weekend.

"He didn't eat them day 1."

Nope, it is pretty big, which means my community 55-gallon tank has food for years! I expressed my frustration at the fish store, and they recommended these granules. I have a sorority of 7 bettas, and they love this food. They didn't seem to like the stick variety so I tossed it and fed them the flakes. The flakes are easy to break up in your fingers for small little mouths if needed. Until this, the earthworms were their favorites. This is a great addition to any feeding regiment for community and betta tanks.

It's super fresh, and the tight seal on the lid makes its longevity stretch. Nope, it is pretty big, which means my community 55-gallon tank has food for years! Overall a great deal, for great fish food. Then, fill a separate smaller container for daily use. I bought a house last year and inherited some fish in a pond. I picked a similar flake food and brought it home and tossed it in the pond. This container is a great size for the price.

Truth is though, my fish prefer this fish food to many others I've tried. I had tried flake food in an automatic feeder which was a total disaster. Florida green tree frogs, leopard frogs eat it, my southern black toads eat meat. Such an awesome value for the money! I've had backyard goldfish ponds over the last 30 years at three different homes. I can only get little one in local stores for alot more money. I have used this brand and fish food since the day I purchased my fish.
