They are pretty clear.
It can penetrate deep into the tank and grow corals. It's the best bang for your buck for a minimal reef light. This light has some great intensity to it. For the price these lights are incredible. I may purchase this if I decide to start a frag tank. I really wanted to like this light, but ultimately it didn't work for me. Has all the functions I need and want, and I am happy with this purchase.

Another note, there are more blue LED than red LED. Check out the photos on this 20 gallon grow out tank. So I contacted customer service and asked them to send me a new transformer. But I will stick with the Nicrew classic LED PLUS as it also has full spectrum. The following Monday they shipped a new power supply. For the price range of this light that is truly outstanding customer service. I purchased this item for my daughters Aqua plant tank.
