Works well.

The gravel along with the quick trim left no gaps for me. It worked well in my very small 12 gallon show tank. I got this to keep my albino Koi guppies separated from my fancy males. My only small issue with it is the way it attaches to the tank. I mean, it's an aquarium divider lol. Holes are big enough for good circulation throughout the tank. Look closely at the slight taper in the connections to see which way to insert them.
