Some of the reviews I read were quite unclear. It was a hair too narrow across and way too deep. VERY BAD POLICY OF THE MANUFACTURER. Def a good purchase if you are looking for a affordable 55 gallon glass lid. The tape provided has a little tab that makes it easy to peel and stick. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND EXCELLENT PRODUCT! VERY BAD POLICY OF THE MANUFACTURER.

One more thing.
Had several cutouts to fit different size filters, heaters, etc. The hood sits on plastic hinges that clip to the back of your tank. NOW IN LATE APRIL, TWO OF THE THREE LED GROUPS ARE OUT. I am very happy with this purchase! All in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase. All in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase. Unlike others on Amazon, this is real tempered glass and very strong.
