Fit perfectly and has been working well. I figured it must have been left over from manufacturing or it had broken in transit. One the first few days the water was so cloudy I couldn't see the U. Brand new out of the box and a great price. Then there seemed to be an algal bloom. I have the Eheim 3000 also and both pumps are well worth the money! You could use them for circulation pump or wave maker.

Saved me a bundle!

I would've spent more on just an air pump and stone than I did for this. The flow rate is perfect, and they fit well inside my cubes sump. If you have turtles and want to circulate the air around this is for you! The COODIA UV filter is behind the big rose quartz on the left. I tried weekly 40% water changes, API Clear, and the algae just got worse. The water is clearer than I've ever seen it. Anyways, I usually turn it on before i go to bed and off during the day.
