The suction cups on the bottom of the pump held it nice and secure. I am using one of these pumps on a corner matten sponge filter for a little nano 5. Use a T at the suction top with a threaded plug to prime at startup. It's so quiet I don't even hear anything besides the overflow now! I'm using this pump in my backyard for cascade waterfall. What everyone says about the silicone tubing being kinked up is true. Plugged it in and gave it a couple of seconds.
