Any floating debri will get caught in a sponge intake on the reverse power head kit. It was exactly what I needed and fit beautifully. They do feel a little thin but we'll see how they hold up over time. Customizable in terms of media used. That's a long time if you knew how nasty that many shrimp and minnows can be! Keep your stocking of creatures low. Work perfect on my shrimp tank to keep them out of the filter.
