No need to rinse.

A few names we've had were Carlos, Phobe, Feesh, and Chaz. 5 years now and I truly believe they help keep the humidifier and water cleaner. Exactly the same item I purchased from a local store for alot more money! I really do need 1 that flows on its own. The picture shows an aqua color and mine is orange. Then put hose in your bucket and viola, it will draw water! So my 12 pack will probably last for quite some time.
