They were big.
It comes with a fold that you can cut off if you want. The plastic pieces to break out for the filter and such are perfect for my needs. It fit the 55gallon tank without an issue. Overall everything came intact and its working so I'm satisfied. Sitting on the couch you can barely tell there's a hood on the tank. Words cannot explain how much I adore this! I love it love it love it, and my fish are now happy!

It was quite junk.
EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND EXCELLENT PRODUCT! If you measure your openings carefully, it will fit. I bought this after the marine-land LED lid failed on me. Lights are bright and makes my tank look really neat. They dont have any borders on them to make handling easier. Don't know about their longevity though. The hood fits perfectly on my 55 gallon tank which has a divider in the middle.
